Post if you're happy or cheerful

As a weird twist in my life, I'm starting to believe fruit flies are somewhat intelligent. I threw a hissy fit yesterday and sprayed OFF everywhere around my area. Earlier today, they decided to stay on the other side of the room.
I just woke up and they were all over my desk again. I started getting angry, but such is life so I sat down, came here and it slowly dawned on me that they had migrated once more to the other side of the room :lol: All times past, they would buzz around me and drive me insane. Now it seems as if they're avoiding me *muhahaha*

I *know* it's probably something logical- like perhaps they can sense the remnants of OFF still on my skin. But my "delusion" still made me smile :D

I never have flies, how come you have so much :P

I don't know but they're driving me bonkers. I've never had them as I have this year. I think they got a foothold when the kids splashed water from the tub, which seeped under my door, onto my carpet and then into a book that had fallen under a bookcase near that door. I didn't discover the damage for a long time. But there's nothing in my room anymore except...
It's very humid in my bedroom as my room is the only one with AC, and with it being as hot as it has, there tends to be condensation built up on the windows and mirrors which seems to attract them like crazy.

In other news... I'm happy because my 16 year old son is going to stay in Florida. Not with my parents, but with his father whom he hasn't had ANY sort of relationship with since he was about 4 years old. They seem to be hitting it off wonderfully.
BUT, that means I have to get in touch with my ex. I hold nothing against him and I'm very pleased he's stepping up now, but I would rather not. I've become an extremely introverted person and would rather not step out of my comfort zone.
I'm also worried he thinks he's going to be getting big bucks in child support because I'm married to a Dr. That's never going to happen. I get $300. a week from my hubby and that's about the extent of his financial obligation to me (other than paying the bills- the money he gives me is for clothes, groceries, medicine, car stuff).

But I'll be happy for now and worry about the fine print later :)

I am VERY happy right now. I finally got sick and tired living in the clutter that was my bedroom. So I cleaned. :banana: It's not completely perfect, but it's an easy 90% better than it was and all that's left are the cobwebs in the corners. the clutter on my surfaces, 1 pile of clothes and 2 bookcases that need straightened. It took me an hour, but a large portion of that time was rigging a tube to blow up my air mattress. My son has an electric pump, but it was missing an attachment. I found an old slender vacuum tube, so I cut it at the attachment and then realized it had a tough wire "wall", so I sat down jiggling/bending it back and forth until it finally snapped off. Lacking duct tape, I scotch taped it to the pump :) The other end of the tube fit snuggly against the air hole of my mattress and presto. So now, I even have a fully inflated bed *WOOT*

Wow... no one's been happy or cheerful about anything for 2 days?

I'm happy because... a cardinal tried to fly inside the other day, so I watched it threw the window for awhile. It was a fledgling and he was picking off spiders around the window :)
Also... I'm happy because fleas don't like vinegar, so I've been rubbing some onto my dogs skin. She hates it, but it's for her own good (and mine as well!) But it only lasts a few hours before they're back *pout*

I'm also happy because we had a "visitor" yesterday. When I went into the bathroom, I saw a huge furry spider sitting on the rim of the kitchen trashcan. He was carrying around a house fly :lol: He stayed on the rim for a few hours, but then vanished :( When the light hit him just right he had the most amazing turquoise colored eyes. As long as he stays out of my bedroom, he'll be safe.

In my house its one fly, panic until it dies :)

Im happy today because this is the 4th day/night in a row that I remembered atleast 1 dream:D
And Im also happy because tonight im going over my friend's house so we can go to Otakon early in the morning ^-^

Insects and pets lol They are the only consistently pleasant variable in my life which is always something to be happy about :lol:
My hubby will always give me a hard time. My kids will always be rebellious and get in trouble (or so it seems now). I have no life outside of my room... so pets and insects it shall be :)

a duck walked up to a corner store.....

I am quite happy! I was at the mall today, in some store, casually looking around. There was a group of 5 or so hipster/scene esque 15-17 year olds wandering about. I was walking out of the store, like so, and i almost ran into one (not sure if they were with the same group of these other 3 hipster esque people) They seems pree nice. Anyway, I was walking out of this store, when bam, one of the girls was like "you have a pretty smile, let me hug you" she was at the checkout counter thing (the store was like a CD/movie/miscellaneous store. it wasn't that large) i think i was stationary facing the counter checking the time or something. I look up. She is looking at me with her arms out, like 10 feet away from me saying "give me a hug give me a hug" i was confused if she was talking to me or not so i started turning around. It was apparent she was though because there was no one else really in the store. she yells "don't go" and she ran up to me and we hugged. It was sorta awkward, but it brightened my day. I then promptly said "goodbye random girl" and we separated ways.

aww, thats nice :)

I was quite thrilled when she said my smile was nice, because i was sort of chuckling when she was saying to hug.
