Legolas is too 'pretty' for my liking, too feminine. Frodo is cute though, especially when he looks troubled. And I love Sean Bean's (Boromir's) voice.

My preferences must be off from most girls' because the majority of what's been posted just doesn't appeal to me. The LOTR ones are good, but that mostly naked picture of the hairy guy above just disturbed the hell out of me.

It's explicit in the show (as is obvious from the pictures). It's made known in the same episode Loras is first introduced. But you're right, it wasn't obvious in the books that early on. They decided to add it. Kind of like how, in the show when Arya is hiding near the dragon skulls and hears two men talking, the two men are shown as definite characters. But in the books it's never really known who they are.

mmmm Ralph Fiennes. I like that other guy too, from Incredible Hulk, although he's a short little prick, his attitude makes him sexy. This is a whole new level of weird.

The actor isn't a Hobbit. When it was zoomed into his face he just looked like a normal person and I thought of him as one.

I dig Legolas' androgyny. I'm a huge Legolas fan...not a big Orlando Bloom fan. When it comes to movie characters I have to incorporate their personalities into what makes them sexy. And the hobbit's little fat drunken lifestyle and calloused hairy feet doesn't exactly get my juices flowing.

I agree and that's why I didn't like Frodo when it zoomed out and showed his shortness and feet. But when it was zoomed in, when it was just Frodo and Sam on their own, it rarely showed the lower parts of them and my brain kept thinking of him as a normal person. But his personality was important and made him sexy. He isn't a typical hobbit, he isn't fat and drunken. He's darker, worried, has inner strength, his personality is humble and modest. None of the other hobbits appeal to me.
