It's fine. I'm going to two shows this year without anybody. Well, actually my sister decided to come to the second one, but I was going to go alone to that too.
It may be a bit more fun with friends, but not necessarily.
There will be tonnes of people there without anybody with them.

I don't have a couch. I used to have an air mattress but it died months ago. I either crash on my mattress or in my chair.
I'll just have to keep kicking the dogs out before I go to sleep. They wont be happy with that arrangement, but they'll live. And my allergies will no longer kill me lol

I was never into the concert scene so I've only been to one my whole life. It was an MTV concert with a bunch of people I no longer remember (one of the featured groups was the one busted for lip singing songs they had never sung... Millie Vanillie maybe?). I was about 15 years old and went with an older cousin. It was nice but even back then I couldn't handle crowds.

Yes.

For me, 36(fear) + 39(avoidance) = 75.

I didn't want to take this test, I generally just ignore it and I find it's FAR LESS worrying.
If you get embarrassed or whatever, after it's done with you forget about it and think about whatever you were thinking about before it.
Over time it gets less and less troublesome.

Generally I think most people on internet forums are socially inept in some way. People who are in to lucid dreaming are even more likely to be so.

Whenever I listen to good music on my Zune HD, then do some reckless action that makes it drop on the floor, it feels so awkward for the music to just stop right at that moment, especially when I was getting into it as well. I get mini-heart attacks if the Zune gets near something with water, and when I pick it up, I show it more affection than I should for myself.

Every impact it makes on the ground screeches my ears......makes me squint my eyes, and make random expressions with my mouth...

I feel that the more that this Zune HD takes hard hits on the ground, a part of my soul dies. I'm already looking at the small scratch on the LED screen on the top left corner, and the two on the silver metal casing on the back side. Those are scars that I will never be able to heal, each portraying my blemishes..

Don't leave me Zune HD!!!!!!! *hugs it*

Damn it, I wish I could just play a playlist in my mind instead of relying on some material. I mean, I can do that, but it gets annoying when I want to play another song in my mind, so it's like a blending that gets messed up. >.<

It's unfortunate the Zune isn't even a fully-supported format any longer.

I like my Zune better than I like the iPod.

I don't. At least not according to the test lol. But I wouldn't say so either.... Socially speaking, I love being the center of attention (almost a little too much), as long as the situation is right for it. I'll gladly dance like an idiot or sing until my throat hurts around people I just met if a song I like starts playing, and I tend to bond with people pretty quickly. I like being the person that everyone else at the party immediately drops what they're doing to watch, and I often bring a lot of the liquor and offer to pay for all the food we get later in the night... you'd just be hard-pressed to actually get me to come to a party in the first place. I have other reasons for avoiding society these days....

This I agree with, though. I think that's part of why DV is such a social center in itself, really.

Another Zune fan here. I too have a Zune HD, still works great for me. I get the Zune pass, so unlimited music and ten free songs as long as I pay the $15 a month. Considering how much I listen to music on the PC and on the Zune, I like it.

Gr, why is there always /one/ teacher that gives way too much work? Every year it's a different subject, this year the spinner landed on physics. Does it get any worse than physics, I wonder? I understand wanting us to do work (especially honors) but sometimes it's just rediculous. >_>

Meesha's making me laugh, the little turd. Every time I get food, she grumbles and grumbles trying to get something from me. If I happen to talk to her while eating or right after, she tries to stick her nose and tongue down my throat. Goofball. I tell her she has her own food, but I guess my Arby's Roast Beef smells a lot better than her hard, dry puppy food.

My rant is that I slept all freagin day. I had JUST bought a fountian drink AND a can of Coffee. I took just a few sips from both before passing out. I laid down on my bed, just to stretch out and maybe take a brief nap. I woke almost 8 hours later And I've been getting plenty of sleep these last couple of days
So, I didn't get any work done under the house.

I did, however, make it to Lowes. I bought the plastic I need and I searched forever for the dryer cord but they didn't have the one I need (straight vertical lines left and right, an "L" at the top, a circle in the middle and a half circle at the bottom). I found one I was going to try. It lacked the center circle and the bottom was round instead of half... but just before I checked out I noticed the "L" was backwards.
And I also stopped at a garage down the road. They were closed and leaving but I asked if I needed an appointment to have my car inspected and he told me just to come bright and early in the morning. It's first come, first serve.

Another rant is that I bought a Playdom game card 2 days ago. It was $10. and for Gnome Town on Facebook. The card isn't recognized. I took it back to Walmart but it had been properly activated. So I sent Playdom an email and still haven't heard back from them. Which is HIGHLY annoying.

I need to complain about the awful health care system, or at least the hospitals close to me. My grandma had to go to the hospital on Saturday. She needed surgery and got it on Sunday. Now she's getting better and she should be back to her house in a few days.

My aunt had the same problem during the summer. They tried telling us they didn't know what it was. When she got there her temperature was 107 and they left her alone like that for hours without trying to do anything. It caused brain damage and she wasn't able to talk after that. She died almost two months later after not getting much help at all the whole time. She was only 50, she could have had 20-30 years left to live. The difference between her and my grandma? My aunt couldn't afford health insurance and couldn't pay for everything. They didn't think they'd get paid so they ignored her.

Holy crap.... It would seem that atropine and scopolamine inhibit both muscarinic and nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, not just the former, and it looks like scopolamine might be even more potent than atropine at the latter. Datura just got even more seductive....

God damn you Mother Nature.

I'm only semi-like that if I've had enough to drink. I still wouldn't dance though.

Woodstock. I'm glad your grandmother is doing better, and that sucks about your aunt. That's been my experience with health care as well. Back when I was on Medicaid/Medicare (can never remember which lol) my health care sucked. As soon as I got private insurance and started dropping my hubby's name (a well known/well liked Ophthalmologist) I felt like a queen.
But then he never paid off my bills lol so I no longer go to the Doctor at all (except my shrink). My oldest daughter once flayed her leg open when she broke her wall mirror. My hubby got on the phone with the ER and told them of the problem before we even got there
People don't like to admit it, but there IS a huge difference when you have private insurance.

My rant is that I fell back to sleep. What the heck? I couldn't keep my eyes open earlier, so I laid down on my bed fully clothed. I woke up some 7 hours later
And now I see I have a bunch of bruises on the inside of my legs. WTH? Well, I exaggerate. There are 3 2 on my left leg, one on my right. But the bigger one on my left leg is nasty looking. It's not on an area I could have just bumped or banged on something.
Ahhhh, maybe I got it when I was crawling around under the modular. I have to slink over and under pipes which I suppose could have done it.

And my son is being a big baby again. I got us both Arby's Medium Roast Beef sandwiches and a bucket of fries from Sheetz (to share) at around 5PM. He's already bawling that he's starving. I'm still full But he calls me inhuman I guess not everyone can get away with eating once a day

Aww, but dancing is the best part. Reminds me of this old club I used to go to. Back when I first started going, everyone there was either rolling or tripping all the time, it was great, the attitude was so friendly and everyone was constantly up and moving around. After a couple years though it started filling up with people who were just drunk and would spend most of the night sitting or standing around just talking to each other, and it became so cliquey and distant. I would go and take a few tabs anyway and try to talk people into dancing, and some of them did, but most of them just looked at me weirdly until I left them alone... pfft.

Just dance.

(You don't have to if you don't want to though. X3)

Ugh... I'm about to freagin fall back to sleep again I was just about to go lay down when I remembered I have to schedule my visitation with my daughters for this weekend. They would never have forgiven me had I forgotten
Now I must pry open my eyelids and make myself stay awake for just a few more minutes.

My room is so freagin dark. It's all in my head though. But knowing that doesn't make it seem any brighter lol. I think I'll pick up another lamp.

I got my car inspected at 8:30- 9:30 (took an hour because I wasn't first in line), went to Wally World with my son and we actually found him some clothes that will most likely fit. He's a size 48 and Walmart doesn't tend to carry much of anything over 44-46. He was a 3XL shirt, 4 XL if he wants it to fit perfectly. We managed to find some triple shirts. Also got me some socks and undies and some clothes on super sale as well as an electric skillet, some toiletries and groceries
I have about $120. left. I need to return to pick up my 'scripts and a new heater for my son... as well as my lamp

I should NOT be this freagin sleepy. I'm popping 200 mg Caffeine every hour with very little effect. Time to quit them for a week to reduce my tolerance.
My pulse and blood pressure aren't even effected at this point. 118/83 pulse of 83 (which is superb for me- my resting pulse normally runs in the high 80's low 90's)

Major Anti-rant: My tummy is VERY happy. I bought myself a 4oz packet of Smoked Salmon, some Capers and a Purple (or is it Red) Onion. The capers tasted strangely and the onion wasn't ripe enough, but God the Salmon was delicious
I've not had that to eat for at least 3 years.

I have the same problem

I've never in my life met someone who has the same taste in music as I do, not even past versions of myself. The closest I've found is someone on this site and we only have some substantial overlap in one genre. After that, it's a rare occasion if I find even one person who likes a single song that I do. It makes me feel lonely, like there must be something fundamentally different about me psychologically. The songs I like seem so amazing that I literally can't imagine being a person who doesn't like it. It seems like, if they don't like a particular song, they must be incapable of feeling whatever it provokes in me while listening to it. And I equally can't feel what they do while listening to the songs they like. And if they're incapable of feeling so many things that I do, and vice versa, it seems our mental experiences must be very different. This makes me sad in situations in which I do want to be able to relate to someone, like when I'm trying to make a close friend, etc. Or maybe the feelings others experience are the same, and it's only the music that provokes them that's different.

I'm lucky I have a hippie friend that likes the same kind of music. But I have another friend that listens to all the pop crap and doesn't understand that "dinosaur music" (it's not that old!) that I listen to. And I have another friend...I forgot I don't have another friend.

What genres do you like? I know it can seem lonely sometimes, but there must be someone else who likes them if they can even be considered genres.

Personally, I believe that this last part - "Or maybe the feelings others experience are the same, and it's only the music that provokes them that's different." - is the case. I think that our tastes in music more strongly reflect our experiences rather than the way our minds work.
