Well, you have to expect someone to respond to something like that, it's just a matter of instinct, the longer you let it slide, the more people will think you're not being genuine. Everyone is going to get defensive to some extent, we can't all agree on each other just like that. Then it would be confirmation bias at its finest, until people get bored of saying "yes yes yes yes yes" to each other, and decide to find someone who doesn't conform to their ideals.

Do you see how much you can make an impact to other people? Even if it's just a forum, your words do matter, even if you don't think they are.

your getting too defensive. my rants are not directed at anyone, i'm simply just ranting. i'm not concerned about whether my rants are true or not, whether anyone agrees or disagrees. this is why i usually don't reply back when a comment is made. that rant you were quoting is simply something i've been observing in general not just here. but certain post here did bring it back to my mind.

My government may be paying people $300 a week to have immigrants in their house.

I think it's fucking awesome, but it's going to get abused so much it's not even funny.

Terence McKenna was an agent of anarchy. He basically suggested the majority of us regress into the primitive mind and wait for something to happen, as to bring about change.

I think this is what happened the first time around, when we were a mushroom culture and the resources dried up, like all eventually will. The ones left in charge became corrupted by that power, and this will most definitely happen again.

Add people as friends first... aside from about 3-4 on my list, I added 'em first. Then speak as you wish without expectation of a reply. You'll then find out who's who n whatnot.

Yeah, the sad reality is partly because you're not male.

I don't usually add people as friends because I'm not sure whether am I really their friend. So I do the waiting.

Edits: The evil me has just did some filtering to my already very small friend list on DV.

I was just on Tumblr, and found a post that reblogged over 6,000 times. It was a graphic of the Jedi and Sith Codes.

Whoever created it got the Sith code wrong, and 6,000 people who claimed to be "Star Wars nerds" or "Sith 4 life" DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE ERROR!!!!!

This is what's wrong with the world. Every single one of those people is dead to me. (Is it sad that I know the Sith code by heart? No. What's sad is that people are ALLOWED TO MISLEAD THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE by making a graphic THAT IS INCORRECT.)

I understand that this rant is virtually as far into first-world problems as one can possibly get, but it's just frustrating.


Also, we have two new stray kittens who showed up at our house (we have many strays that arrive which we almost always take in, unless they decide to leave, which they occasionally do.) These kittens are incredibly friendly and adorable, but we can't pay to get them fixed right now... and my mom wants to give them to my grandparents (who have probably 8 barn cats) but I'd feel terrible sending them there, because if they ARE down there they won't be loved like the two cats we took in who already live with us...

GAH. And I cannot convince her to have a heart.

What IS the Sith code Preserver?

There have been a lot of rumors about me going around school. Its my 16th birthday tomorrow and im having a night with my dads family and my cousins are driving me crazy.

How well do you have to know someone to take them to the hospital when they clearly need it???

Seriously, my sister moved out with my mum and they were supposed to be her cats but she just left them here.
They're just shitting everywhere and being dicks. I fucking hate cats. I'm not putting up with this shit for
the next 15 years. The only good cat we had ran away or got killed. He came back after one week but then my brother put him outside and he hasn't
come back again. These two little shits just don't give a fuck about anything.
