Well, it's better than being full of it...

I was almost robbed today but I managed to grab my wallet out of his hand, kneed him in the stomach, and then ran like a little bitch because apparently I have the strength of a little school girl in my legs. . My money was still in there but I think I may have lost a $5 bill when I tried to grab the money out of his hand. Last time I smoke with random people that are twice my size.

I felt pretty badass once I was several blocks away though.

I've been going almost non-stop since 5AM. I didn't sleep last night (but I slept all day yesterday). I picked my son up for his big evaluation and we actually made it there 15 minutes before his appointment. I was certain we would be late. When my son went back for his test, I spoke with the p-doc- rehashing the past, all the crap that we've gone through and still find ourselves in. And I felt like a total idiot.
"So, you're 17 year old has been staying at the Farm with his brother for what, 5-6 weeks?" the Dr. asked me.
"Has it been that long? He went there right before school started."
"Could you please tell me what month, date and year it is?"
*mentally fumbles for a few seconds before giving it correctly*
"And when does school start for most counties?"
*heck if I know* But I thought back carefully and replied: "The end of August, beginning of September I believe."
"So he's been there for 3-4 weeks?"
*I don't flipping know* "Yep, for about that long."

He kept asking me dates and such "It doesn't have to be exact, just an approximate."
When it comes to me and dates it's more like a somewhat educated guess.

And then he would start with: "It's not my job to judge anyone........... are *any* of your kids going graduate?"
wth, lol, that sort of sounded a bit judgmental bub.

But in truth, the dates thing bothered me most. I started berating my stupidity when a sliver of logic would pop up with: "You have no life. Every day is the same. They run together. Knowing the exacts isn't important to you. You're not stupid, it's just not something you have to be aware of."
*Yeah? Well shut up, brain. That's only half of the problem. I don't even know approximate years that big events took place. It could have been a few months ago or a few years. It's all the same to me and it shouldn't be.*

And it's not that dates aren't important to me, it's really that my mind just doesn't retain numbers or dates or names worth a shit! It's just the way I'm made.

Darkmatters, yep. I've been a self-injurer since about the age of 7 (though then it was accidental- I found pain helped me pay attention). Now-a-days, I have my moments but I can usually work through them. Mainly, I use humour. When I get the urge, I imagine I'm 80 years old, still giving in and I see how pathetic that would be. I'm not a kid anymore

As for numbers, I don't even remember how old I am. If it's for a form or something, I have to count up the years. I haven't celebrated birthdays for 12 years or so, so it's VERY easy to lose track
But the problem still annoys me. I can perfectly understand something mathematical one minute, then the next minute I've forgotten absolutely everything and have to go back to scratch.

Crapcrapcrap!!!!

For like 4 days now I've been wanting to make scalloped potatoes and ham in the crock pot, but it takes 8 hours to cook, and I wanted to prepare it just before bed and let it cook all night. Biut I keep spending all day doing stupid shit (mostly posting in here and chat)and then suddenly I don't have the energy to slice up all those damn potatoes. Again I find myself suddenly too drained!!! If I don't make it soon the ham won't be any good anymore!!!
