michael79, people drop in and out of things all the time though. :P And more on the same sentiment, sometimes I am checking on DV and other sites and nothing is happening at all and it feels annoying (especially if I'm trying to participate too), but on the other hand I probably have more time than most people.
Rant: Feeling slightly frustrated about lots of little things, but all usual stuff...
Feeling super excited and happy today. The district has mandated that science teachers have to do one virtual lab/demonstration a week, which is kind of a lot to ask!! Word from last night is that they are expanding that to include "experiences" such as nature walks, etc.
Time for some virtual field trips! This is going to be fun.
Also, my leg and knees have healed fantastically, they're still red but, I can run again, and I'm back to my old self :D
Just found out that one of my cousin who had cancer when he was very younger, is coming back. :(
I swear people here in New Hampshire are driving more reckless than ever. They must think that cops won't pull them over out of fear of catching COVID from them.

Not sure what this is. Mix of feelings maybe.
I've not really been feeling motivated to work on my usual art projects, instead I've been working on a story/setting I've had in mind and tried writing out several times over the years always feeling like I was muddling on and didn't really know what I wanted to do with it exactly, but this time I'm starting nearly completely from scratch with a much clearer end-goal. My issue had always been I'd never felt a connection with my characters. This time it's a bit different because the main character was one I already have for something else.
In only two days I've written almost ten thousand words and even so feel like it's barely started, and at the same time I'm not eager to keep pouring in ideas without getting some friends to read parts of the story for feedback... But this is all annoying me slightly since I also want to work on my usual art stuff and just not feeling the motivation to do it. :undecided:
I don't really get creative blocks (but never say never :cheeky: ) and when I do, I usually do get over them fairly quick. But I do get these "it's not grabbing me" periods. I don't think it's something that can be helped. Just wanted to vent about it I guess.

Feeling angry, which doesn't happen too often. They're forcing us back onto campus to teach in 2 weeks. Allowing people with health issues to apply for district review for a remote position. Okay, that's good, since I have some close friends with serious health problems, and not young. Still, though, it doesn't take into account people who live with others who are at risk. I just feel angry because I feel like the message is that our lives are expendable. I don't like that. Especially if a vaccine isn't too far off, it just seems illogical to go back now. Plus, the flu season will be upon us in a couple months. My mom says.. "Well, they'll just go back to distance learning if numbers rise.." Sure. They will, hopefully. But not before some people die. And for what? Money? So we can be glorified babysitters?
It's one of those days where I wake up, and everything possible is going wrong, and not just for me. Kids, work, friend freaking out, it's crazy today. It hasn't stopped yet. Must be something in the air. I put on the Tibetan chimes...
I always try to think that the universe is trying to challenge us to see if we are worthy for whatever good is in store for us. ;)

The day was okay. I went to a couple of stores to go shopping and the power was out in the stores. I swear it felt like I was walking in a dark dream. Apparently, there was a really bad accident there.

My sister in law is a nurse who works with covid patients in a hospital. She's already had covid. She gave me 10 lightly used N95 masks today to take with me to work so that I could be well protected (they've been in her car for weeks, they are safe). Apparently where I work is being called "Covid Corridor" (normally lake worth corridor).. because it's the hot spot of palm beach county. In fact, she even said that when someone comes in with that zip code, she automatically assumes they are covid positive.
I feel significantly better having these masks :D
