My hubby had mine built. I don't know anything about the mechanics of computers... just how to use the basics and gaming lol.
But here's a screenshot of my specs (I couldn't copy/paste for some reason) if they make sense to you.

I love my machine, though there could be some improvements. Especially since playing Roblox, I seem to lag more and often wonder if my device has been hacked or infected lol (though my scans tell me all is well).
I also have problems with some older games like Fallout. I can't play the lockpick minigame but my searches indicate that may be a fault with my ancient monitor rather than my PC :shrug:
Rant: After PT today, I've noticed my shoulder is more concaved. :wtf: He said my joint is wonderful and thinks most of my issues are from muscle spams and tension (I still have a major knot though they have worked SO much of it out already). So maybe the concave is just from muscle weakness? I hope that's all it is.
RANT: Just when I thought the flies were gone, a few have resurfaced... and the biting ones at that :sniper: But I've only run across a couple so far. I'm just glad I've not taken down my net yet. I'd be REALLY grumpy if I had lol
Rave: M&M has turned into an amazingly lovable cat... He's figured out how to squeeze between the floor and the tarp to continue coming into the restroom. I'd be annoyed if he wasn't so precious. He now gives "love bites" for food and affection. Did I write about this already lol
Amazement: Yesterday, I called hubby over to our Jurasic dandelions and he said they're 7-8 feet tall :eek: What the heck? I should document those things lol

Rave? When the PT guy saw me today, he commented on the redness along my incision. He said he's seen that a lot and what it usually is, is just a stitch that wasn't properly absorbed trying to work its way out of the body.
I didn't really think it was an infection, though there was some buildup yesterday. I had my daughter-in-law try to pop it (after having her thoroughly sanitize her hands as she's a carrier of MRSA). It drained clear, a tiny bit, for a few hours. I frequently sterilized it after the fact, as well. It's a relief to know it's most likely just a stitch.
Rant: My incision has been annoying the dickens out of me. I poked the area above the spot I drained and it was sore. So I rubbed it with great pressure and the incision started leaking again. It looked like something was trying to come out of it, so I picked at it and it was just a scab (I was hoping it was that stitch!). Then I saw a tiny white spot and picked at it :bang: Then I realized I was just opening the wound so I've made myself stop... for the most part. I still rub it, from time to time to encourage draining and I blot it with my alcohol wipes and that's it. NO MORE PICKING :lol:
Rant: I've not seriously played Roblox for about a week now. It's just so socially exhausting lol. So, I bought a server last week to avoid all the "plebs" ("trade me, trade me; gimme, gimme!!") But now I'm bored without all the chat drama :cackle:
Rave: I've been playing a lot more Gems of War on Steam though. The new update has hooked me.
Rave: I got a nag phone call about not meeting my CPAP goals. I was actually awake when I got the call this time, so I was able to jot down the number to call "if I'm experiencing problems or need guidance". And a live person actually answered when I called :banana:
I told her of my break and that it's been impossible to use it at this time. She laughed and said she could imagine and would make a note so I'd stop getting the calls. I told her I'm not too bothered about that, that I'm just worried about being non-compliant. She said she'll make a note of that as well and gave me the impression that everything's okay.
I'll have my new mask soon, so hopefully by that time, I'll be able to use the machine. It's not so much that I CAN'T use it. I can. But I can't clean it. I clean it in the shower as there's really no working or acceptable sinks in the house. The sink in the kitchen is too much of a bother for me to use (have to manually turn it on and off under the sink with pliers). And I don't trust my kids to clean it well enough.
Also, with the mask triggering migraines, I don't want to have to deal with that right now.
Rave: I finally found a form of Vitamin C that I can tolerate. Gummy Supplements. They are sour as all get out (quite the shock to the system :cackle:) but they don't bother my stomach in the least. O.J., pills and chewables kill my stomach. Gah!- how I love O.J. though... and the more pulp, the better :chuckle:

They might not be dandelions but something called hawkweed. I have to snap a stem tomorrow to see. Dandelions are hollow whereas the other are solid. Dandelions also produce a whole lot more "latex" when they're broken.
Rant-ish: PT sucked today. I got another woman. I haven't met a female I'm happy with yet. They're nice and all that, but (like most women) they seem too afraid to hurt you to really push you to your limit. She did, however, put support tape on my arm after speaking to them about and showing them the concaved area.
Rant: I woke up, this morning, smelling toast. I asked the kids and no one had been cooking any, so Miley told me to go to the Dr because I was having a stroke. Ummm, no :chuckle: I could only smell it in my room and on my way to the kitchen. Ray had cooked hamburger and for some reason, it smelled like toast to me :huh: But now I've been craving it all day :cackle: What a weird food to crave! My diet is primarily made up of carbs, so it's not because of some deficit....

I can't eat a lot of foods because of my stomach and dental troubles. I exist mostly on junk food :roll: I have a hefty portion of cereal and 1-2 mini Slim Jims when I wake up, then Burger King or something similar for dinner unless hubby wants (healthy) food from our favorite local place. I snack on a few chips throughout the day but that's about it. (I buy a standard 7 3/4 ounce bag of chips at the start of each week and I usually have leftovers that I give to the kids.)
I have an exceptionally low thirst drive. I start the day with a fresh 16.9 ounce Coke, which I swap out with a different one all day. I drink it til it's room temp, put it in the freezer and start a new one then repeat until the end of the day. There's half left in each of the 2 bottles by the end of the day (I give those to my kids too lol- I HATE flat Coke, but my daughter Miley prefers them that way :lol:) BUT, since my break, I have been CRAVING Frozen Cokes (Icee's, Slushies- the icier the better). I drink about 48 ounces of one of those nearly every day!!!! I used to hate those things because they usually taste flat lol
So, yeah, I REALLY hope diabetes does NOT catch up to me. I will starve and thirst to death if it does!
As soon as this bone heals, I'm going to go on a water fast. Or, rather, I'm going to TRY to :chuckle: From there, I'll go back on my low sodium soup diet. Jump start some weight loss and reset these taste buds :D

I'm not familiar with the readings you gave.
When my daughters sugar isn't controlled it's in the upper 200's/lower 300's.
My sugar tends to stay at 86-120. Back when I was under weight, I had reactive hypoglycemia. I'd eat something sweet and my sugar would rise a little, but 30-60 minutes later it would bottom out because my body would over-react and produce too much insulin :roll:
Putting some meat on my bones seems to have cured me of it though. But I've read that it can sometimes be a precursor for diabetes. :panic:
I still pee "a lot". I roll my eyes at myself- especially on those days I only drink one of those small bottles of Coke. I feel like I pee twice as much as I actually drink :laugh: I probably go about 5 times a day.
Which reminds me, I should have hubby print off some of my on-line medical chart so I can question the Dr about it tomorrow. Some of my blood work was weird and my EKG was a little wonky. Apparently, everything is still within acceptable range or they wouldn't have done surgery, but I still want some explanations.
Rant: I think the tape made my arm hurt more :wtf: So, I took it off. (PT said I could if it bothered me in any way). BUT, I also only got 3-4 hours of sleep last night and fatigue always makes things seem to hurt more or be worse in some fashion.
Meh: I managed to leave my incision alone until just a little while ago. The pressure was starting to mount some, so I removed the scab and drained it some. And, greatly enough, it didn't drain much. But the glue above it is still wanting to separate so I'm taking tremendous care not to pull or irritate it.
Sad/Humor/Rant: The girls left for work this morning, only to return a short while later. While driving down the mountain, to get to work, the steering of their car went out. :bang: People from the dealership picked them up and dropped them off at home, then picked up the vehicle. They had it all day and worked on it. Seems to be okay now. The belt slipped or some such. Paula's sure the world is trying to kill her and she becoming more and more paranoid about driving. I tell her to switch out her thinking. Perhaps there was something even more dangerous down the road that these things are causing her to avoid. She's not having any of my hippie talk though :cackle: and is thinking about suing them for the "lemon law" in our State if anything else goes wrong.
Meh: Hubby's sending me out for dinner (more BK :chuckle:) in 9 minutes. It's too busy out there in the world. I think I would rather fast or have more cereal lol. It's mostly just an excuse for us to spend some time together :smitten: so I don't really mind.
Rant/Rave: Since my iPad died, I've taken to playing Jewel Quest on my DSi. I'm LOVING the game but goodness is it glitchy as heck. It usually crashes my device once a day. I've almost finished the story line.

Rant: SOMEONE IN MY FAMILY had one of that tractor hydraulic hose busted in his face but, He seems fine, though.
Rave: I had this long dream that at one point I remember running into some greenhouse in the middle of late October or early November and I was followed by someone who I no longer have any contact with anymore. Then in the dream, I remember strapping a big Acme rocket on my back like the ones you would see in the Looney Tunes. However, I had a little trouble lighting it a first because the matches were on the other side of the greenhouse. Then I blasted off. :P I know exactly why I had that kind of dream.
:panic: Ebb. YES, then those really would be disasterous readings!!!!!!! Dangerous, dangerous numbers. I'm surprised they didn't insist on admitting you straight away.
My daughter never knew she was diabetic because she was "lost" in the Foster System for some time. (Truancy, behavioral and my own inability to keep my home sanitary) Whenever she switched homes or centers, they tested her vision because she wears glasses, and they would smack-talk the previous eye Dr because her prescription was so different each time. They knew her family history but never thought to test her sugar :eek:
So, when she aged out, she came back home. Some times passed and she thought she had a UTI. She went to a local Dr. He asked symptoms etc and straight away, wanted to test her sugar. It was in the high 300's and he wanted to admit her to the hospital but was able to bring it down in his office. I was waiting with her wife in the car outside and the nurse came to get us because my daughter was being overly emotional. She took the news about her diabetes very hard. She's since adjusted but she doesn't watch her diet or take her insulin like she should (part of it is insurance difficulty and being 'immune' to certain types of insulin).

Where my shoulder wants to concave or "sublux", it's just muscle weakness. He says the joint looks absolutely fine.
The sore along the incision looks clean, he said, but he prescribed an antibiotic to be on the safe side.

The car drama is also continuing. Right after the dealership worked on the car, the girls drove it and all was well. The next day, they got in it to go to work and it wouldn't start. :bang: The dealership gave them a loaner and said they'd pick up the vehicle to troubleshoot it some more. It's still outside. They tried to get her to take some other vehicle in a really shady fashion I couldn't even begin to explain and it's just been spiraling. Paula's been extra beside herself emotionally and my daughter absolutely sucks at being a wife (Paula is my daughter-in-law who also lives here). I need to pull my daughter aside and have a talk with her but she's too angry and somewhat self-centered about the whole mess that I know she'll just deflect (she forked over nearly her entire paycheck for this car and the dealership is screwing them (?)).
I can see that Paula is spiraling though. Bad things are coming if something positive doesn't happen soon.
And I'm somewhat irritated that Paula is being such a "girl" about the whole thing... and I'm irritated at my irritation. Because *my* way of handling things is SOOOOO much better (I type with dripping sarcasm). I have such a "repressed" fear of driving that it triggered my need for anxiety meds 18 years ago which triggered a life long dependency on said meds because the anxiety has never gone away despite addressing it, facing it, exposing myself to it and medicating for it :lol: :bang:
Paula is about to snap. She walked in to a mental health facility, yesterday, and spent 2 1/2 hours venting to a therapist who is not her therapist. She HATES therapists (though she's slowly become fond of her own). I'm proud of her for doing that and for getting perspective... but as she spoke to me last night, I could see her cracking.
I guess, the tdlr version would be: I don't understand people who are incapable of seeing and appreciating their blessings for being overwhelmed by the negative, focusing on that alone and become consumed by it.
The "kids" who live with me have it VERY easy, in many, many ways... but it doesn't comfort them in the least.
Rave: There's a spider (actually one of several :chuckle:) who lives on the wall behind the washer/dryer. I always see her when I'm turning the water main on and off; but I think I'm otherwise blind to all the creepy crawlies at this point. Last night, while messing with the water, I noticed an egg sack with a lot of speckles around it- almost like specks of dust. It wasn't moving. I poked the egg sack and all the little specks started to scurry :chuckle: The specks are spiderlings. They're just your typical house-spider spiders so I'm not concerned. The more, the merrier as long as they stick to the corners and the walls.
Maybe your daughter and I could hook-up with me online.

Then I got an eye infection
then a skin infection (???).
Never knew that was possible... skin infection.
Dr's, glucose monitor read 14 (so 250).
He looked at me with compassion and said
"I'm sorry, this shouldn't happen till your over 40 years old but you have type 2 diabetes"

You daughter has the same
powerful genetic make-up as me.
Our bodies just keep adjusting to the high blood glucose.
Also 10 years ago they really, really wanted me to go on insulin.
I REFUSED (!!!)

If one gets depression she might overdose on insulin.
So my Dr made a hospital appointment for me
An old Professor at the RAH said,
"I understand why you refuse insulin
And that's ok
I will offer you what we gave our patients before insulin
It is called Metformin.
It gives you the runs untill your metabolism gets used to it
And if you stop taking it for a day or so
When you do you will get the runs again
So, most pepple prefer insulin."
He put me on 2500 mg

I never knew you had DID (I just googled that, lol. I thought it would be MPD :D) That seems like it would be both a nightmare and interesting. But I say that as someone who has never had any sort of experience with it (not even acquaintances). :clairity:

Rant: It's period time and once again, I am "bleeding to death". What the heck, body?! My cycle has NEVER been as heavy as it has been the last few months.
Rave-ish: BUT!!!!!!!!- I also know I'm not a completely forgetful old bat. I changed out my product, (and I KNOW I did because I made a mess), and when I changed out again, there were TWO tampons. :wtf: One of the applicators was somehow double packed (which also explained the initial difficulty I had with it :cackle:) I had that happen to me once or twice in the past and I always thought I forgot to remove one. Now I know that might not have been the case lol
Rave: When coming home from the store last night, I caught movement on the dryer we have on the porch. We put the cat food on it, so I assumed it was a cat. Seconds later, however, I realized it was an opossum. But not just any old opossum. It was a teeny, tiny baby. I made my presence known so I wouldn't frighten him, and he wedged himself between the (thankfully) closed window and the back of the dryer.
The puppy was going nuts and even darted onto the porch for a second before we got him back in. The cats were extremely curious.
The poor little guy was hissing (I assume- his mouth was open) because he was trapped and scared.
I put some fresh food out for the cats to distract them and he eventually went away.
He was SOOOO stinking cute.
Rants: There's something weird going on with my upper eyelid. It's RIGHT along the edge with my eyelashes. Hubby thinks I might be getting an infected/clogged/or otherwise irritated oil gland. The eyelid is red and a little inflamed. It's more annoying than anything else.
And my incision is friggin getting on my last nerve. The raw spot feels tight and the slightest movement opens it up. It's VERY sore. And great... I just lifted the bandaid and it looks puss-y. I was too beat to deal with Walmart on Friday and by the time I got to the store last night, the pharmacy had closed. My daughter-in-law just left to pick up her own prescription so she's picking up my antibiotics as well.
But, what in the actual heck is going on with it?! It's annoying me.
Rave: I just discovered "Station 19" on Hulu (a fire-fighting spin-off of the medical show Grey's Anatomy") and I really love it. It's REALLY dumb and cheesy in parts (seriously?- a wrecked tanker carrying ethanol spilled the ethanol in a circle AROUND the truck :cackle:) but it's still really, really good.
So... that's what I'll be doing today. Binging Hulu and playing Gems of War. Roblox has just been way too social for me to deal with :lol:

Rave: Bought all my PC components finally. The system should flawlessly game in 1080p. What I'm looking forward to most of all is being able to game on a monitor. For years now I've been using my laptop, and it's just not very efficient at all for a wide field of view. Especially with the game I play primarily (League of Legends). I'm also looking forward to assembling the computer myself, I think it'll be lots of fun and a great learning experience. Also I save about $250 by not having it assembled for me. I've looked up pre-built systems online and they have the same specifications as the PC I am building, except they're typically about $250 more just as a premium for the assembly. My favourite hobby is now browsing pre-built systems and comparing them to see how much money I save by building the computer myself. Not to be an elitist or anything, I can understand the appeal of pre-builts, they're much easier and they give you warranty and peace of mind and all that. It makes sense for me to get a proper desktop computer, as I said I've been using laptops for years. I spend virtually my entire day on my laptop so, it's only sensible that I may as well be using a sufficiently powerful computer instead. Not that my laptop is desolate by any means, but for the things I do on it, like video editing and gaming, I really should be using a desktop. I had a desktop when I was a child, and then somewhere through the cycle of upgrading computers my parents decided to get me a laptop instead. I don't think they really understood that when you buy a laptop you are sacrificing power for portability. I do enjoy being able to transport my laptop anywhere with ease, but I don't think it's a good enough reason to be missing out on the power that a desktop grants. Also I bought a mechanical keyboard to go with my computer which I'm rather excited about, I hear they are very pleasant to use. The specifications of the PC I'm building are attached below if anyone is interested. Sorry if this post was a big ramble and disjointed, I've just finished a week straight of writing assignments, so I'm pretty sick of typing coherently. Feels good to be writing lazily and informally. I wish all that stuff made sense to me. I'd love to tweak my machine some more. Anything numbers related, however, is just a jumbled incoherent mess in my mind. I still count using my fingers :chuckle:
And yeah, different devices are good for different things. As much as I absolutely love (and am downright addicted to) my now broken iPad, and the mac laptop I had a decade ago, I prefer my desktop PC.
I hope your brain quickly recovers from those assignments :lol:
Rave?- I had no appetite yesterday. It was the perfect time to test taking Provigil on an empty stomach. I started with 1/2.
*Typically*, I sleep from 3-11AM. I wake up, have a huge bowl of cereal, take all my meds. For the next 3+ hours, I sit zombified and FREEZING at my desk. I just cannot wake up. None of that happened yesterday. I was awake despite only getting 3 hours of sleep.
SO, more testing is required. Do I find myself in that awful state because of my breakfast (Cocoa Pebbles- a very sugary cereal). Has my reactive hypoglycemia returned? I need to buy some more testing strips to test my sugar this week.
Rave: I slept fairly well last night. I crashed before 3AM and woke at 7:30, startled, fearing I overslept my alarms lol (they were set for 8:40). I see the sleep Dr today. He's going to want to try botox on me for my headaches. I might try it just for the heck of it, but since I've not been using my CPAP, my killer headaches have gone away :lol:
I didn't eat breakfast this morning and took the entire Provigil (cut in half). I'm going to carry my blood pressure meds with me just in case.
Rave: My e-juice arrived Saturday. I wasn't expecting it until Monday or Tuesday. I friggin love ECBlend. I had been vaping a lot of subpar juices, trying to make my vanilla/clove blend stretch. I was looking forward to getting the Clove... and forgot all about having also ordered a few samples sizes of different things to try :laughtillhurts: It's been nice to switch things up a little, but I'm still hooked on my own concoction.
Rant: Bah... I have to start getting ready to leave....
Meh: I still have barely any appetite. I slept from 2:30-11:30 I woke up in a fair mood and comfy, temp wise.
I stuck a water in the freezer, hoping to cool it quickly so I could chug it with my meds... but I still really don't trust taking meds without food :roll:
I made myself snack on some Sweet Potato Crisps ("Made with Rice and Real Sweet Potatoes" lol)
I still felt okay, but that's not enough food to take meds with, so I finished a weird Deli sweet (pudding on the bottom, then a sort of cake middle with a chocolate (something firm) top- it's called a "Bostom Creme Mousse" and was 5.75 ounces total). Eating the last 2 bites made me feel ill. It was WAY too sweet. 30 minutes after eating it, I'm freezing, SLEEPY, headachy and cranky.
I did have the headache to a MUCH lesser degree before eating... but gah!
I forgot to write down my Glucose machine info before I went to the store last night, so I don't have any strips for it yet. :bang:
Rant-ish/Rave-ish: My incision is still annoying me. I WANT to slit the stitching on either side of the sore and just seriously drain the sucker.... but I realize that would be exceptionally STUPID :chuckle: The stitching to either side of the sore spot is a weird color which triggers the compulsion. I *think* it's infected, but it's not. I slowly realized that it's that color because the incision didn't seal tightly closed enough. New skin and scar tissue is making it the color it is.
I keep a bandaid over the spot more frequently which is also difficult for me.
It sucks when ingrained old wives tales clash with Science :lol: I've always been of the school of thought which mandates air drying wounds to heal. AND cleaning said wounds with alcohol or peroxide. Just the other DAY, I read that water is actually best because alcohol and peroxide actually kill off GOOD bacteria as well as the bad stuff :bang:
I've always hated peroxide. It burns and turns my skin white and even makes my skin PEEL :wtf:
So, for some 18 years, I just add a bit of rubbing alcohol to baby wipes and use those for cleaning wounds and stuff. It's going to be really tough to change my habits...
Anyhow... it's a Rave-ish, because, despite all my grumbles, the sore seems okay for the most part. It still oozes a little when I clean it and change the bandaid, but there's no feeling of pressure on either side of it and when I try to drain it, I only get the bloody ooze- no puss or anything. So, I think it's going to be okay.
Rave: I HOPE I get my new CPAP mask tomorrow. I don't think I will though. I think I'm just trying them on to see which one I like and then they have to order a new one. I REALLY want to start using my machine again.
Bah! I think I truly need to take a nap lol...
Meh: I have to get ready to head off to the city for my sleep mask fitting. Why did I choose 4:00 as the time to go :cackle: But it should still be fine. I leave at around 3 (just under an hour from now), which is too early for too much traffic. I *should* be done with the fitting by 5, which isn't an ideal time... except I'll be heading away from the city, so the traffic should still be okay.
Rant-ish: I woke with another low-grade headache. It's pretty much the story of my life, so it's nothing new. But this one is at around a 3/4 instead of the 2 I'm familiar with. I took a couple Tylenol's, but it doesn't seem to have made a dent in it. I'll be breaking down and adding Ibuprof..... actually, I need to take my BP before I do anything. 128/84 pulse 103. Which is pretty perfect... so Ibuprofen it is :laughtillhurts:
RANT: I ended up sleeping on my right side (the broken one!!!) TWICE last night :bang: The shoulder is "subluxing" a lot more today and I'm worried that I really mucked things up :mad:
Rave: My Tamagotchi survived through to old age but died miserably before his time (it took over an hour before he passed!). I hatched a new egg and got a "good" quality pet this time. He's more my speed. He goes to sleep at 11 and wakes up at 11 :lol: I hope he ages into a "Bill".
I'll probably hatch one more after this one and then be done with lol :nodyes:
Rave: As huge as the "horse-pill" sized antibiotics are, it is indeed MUCH better to swallow them whole instead of breaking them in half. They had been tearing up my stomach, so I thought I'd try them whole before giving up and getting a simple antibiotic instead (this one is 875mg Amoxicillin and 125mg Clavulanate. I had to look up that second ingredient. It's actually pretty ingenious. It's a med to keep germs from becoming antibiotic resistant.
Rant-ish: The incision, of course :chuckle: It still oozes when I remove the bandaid. As well and good and proper that bandaid's are, I'm truly going to have to abandon them. They irritate my skin something fierce.
I SEE the bad spot and :panic: I THINK it's getting bigger and worse. But it's actually not. Part of the problem (the biggest part :laugh:) is just my weird brain. The other part is an optical illusion. There are two "knots". One is below the spot, the other is in the center; then angry scar tissue is between and above the knots. The knots draw in your focus and then the scar tissue. It makes it appear bigger than it really is. The spot that's oozing is MUCH smaller than it was even just a couple days ago.
Patience. I need to work on learning more patience :armflap:

Rave- yesterday was painless in that I arrived for the sleep mask early and was out the door before I was even scheduled to be seen :lol:
She had 3 to show me. I went with the one she recommended. She fitted it to me, stuck it back in the box then sent me home WITH it :eek:
Rave- then I blew it, by stopping at the city Walmart for a couple items. I waited in the 20 items or less line for 15 minutes :facepalm: Then, though, I went next door to GameStop to look at their used DS games and they actually had Sims Castaway :banana:
It was pouring down the rain the whole time I was out. Driving was tedious and slower going- but I was still pushing 80 at times, during lighter rain, OMW there. Some guy sped up, out of nowhere, behind me. I was in the fast lane, so I slowed. I knew he was going to bob between the cars. The jerk must have been going close to 100 mph :panic:
Rave: Hubby printed out a form I needed. I filled it out, took a picture of it, then emailed it to the Tens Unit people. She called me to let me know everything was in order and she'll be mailing the unit today :yddd:
Rant/Rave: HA!!!! My instincts were right. Those knots on my incision are NOT good. When I woke this morning, the one that had been centered at the sore had ruptured. There was some VERY slight bleeding down my arm from it. The lower knot is exceptionally sore today. I'm going to prick that sucker and get it draining straight away!!!!!
When I woke up, yesterday, I took off a bandaid. I STILL have a red mark from it. What the heck, body? You're not allergic to latex or adhesive or anything so what gives?!
Rant/Rave: I used my new mask, for some time, last night. Meh. It's going to take some getting used to. I'm also going to have to slather on chapstick before using it!! It REALLY dries a person out! I just looked up my stats... :wtf2: I used the mask for 4.47 hours (I fell back to sleep after taking it off though). I had 7.3 episodes of apnea :bang:
Rave: I'm wearing leggings for the first time since Flea season began... I also turned on my space heater for a little while. I am SO loving these colder temps!!!
Rave: I still don't have much appetite. Hubby woke me up at noon and sent me out to our local place to get him a meatloaf sandwich. I got myself a 52oz. Frozen Coke. I took my Provigil and Antibiotic with that alone. My stomach seems fine.
Rant: I woke up at some point last night, in pain, from trying to pop my elbow in my sleep :mad: I had my arm pressed against the wall and I was hyper-extending my elbow to do the job. I swear my subconscience is trying to sabotage my bone from healing :bang: :lol: :roll:
I hope everyone is staying dry out there and having a good day. Seems like it's monsoon season in these parts!

Rave: I had my one and only PT this week. The girl massaged the muscles and relaxed the joint then started raising my arm above my head. She went a tad higher each time (we do several reps). A few reps in, my shoulder made a very loud POP! She froze and I could sense her nervousness so I said "I REALLY needed that!" She did a few more reps, but not going up as high, and finally asked "Did that hurt?"
I told her, "not in the least! It felt pretty good actually." :chuckle:
But then it occurred to me, and I told her that even though I pop seemingly every joint in my body- including my chest- I don't recall ever popping my shoulders before.
And then, as if on cue, she popped her own :lol: She was weirded out that I pop my chest and asked if that was okay so I explained it's mostly an inflammatory response (I couldn't think of the word Costocondritis at the time).
But, I am fairly sore now. Not so sore, though, that I need meds.
She was also concerned about my sore. I told her the Dr has me on meds and I've been watching for infection etc. She seemed reassured but asked: "If it doesn't get any better, will you call the Dr.?" I told her I'd just see my General Dr.
And, like me, she too was confused by the Dr's instructions: wear the sling for another month; passive PT only etc etc. The problem is... I'm not scheduled to see him again until December lol. Are we supposed to just assume everything is okay before strength training? Am I supposed to have another X-ray at that time and they'll call if there's a problem?
I guess I'll be calling the Office next week for some guidance!
Nothing else going on today. Hubby might send me out for dinner later, but that would be it.

RANT: Seriously? I took a shower, sat in a towel at my desk for nearly an hour to dry, as is my custom lol. Then I started to get up to go to bed, but thought I should clean the incision because it had glooped a little. I always clean it while holding an alcoholic baby wipe, thank goodness. I started picking at something I thought was a scab. But it didn't hurt and something just felt *weird*, so I looked at what I was tugging on. :panic:
My first thought was ":wtf: this stuff looks like fishing line. I thought it was supposed to be absorbable!"
I called hubby and and asked him if I could see him because I had plastic coming out of my arm :lol:
He has these super magnifying glasses, so he examined me. It appeared, to him, to be absorbing chromium (dipped?) sutures. It's a perfect loop. He said 1cm, I think. It's sticking out just a little. He put some antibiotic ointment on my arm then wrapped it. He wants me to call Ortho tomorrow, even though they're closed. I'll probably get an answering machine, but I HOPE to reach someone on call so they can advise me. Now that he's wrapped it, it's bugging the daylights out of me. And I'm light-headed :huh: I writing that off as fatigue. It better NOT be my syncope. That would be utterly ridiculous. It doesn't hurt in the least. It didn't even bleed when I was cleaning it- just some slight drainage.
Bah! If it's not one thing, it's another :roll: One thing I've come to expect though, is that if something CAN go wrong, it will go wrong on a Friday :cackle:
Sorry to leave you all alone in your echo chamber Zhaylin, just been a little busy. Still waiting for the components to arrive for my computer. I'll tell you a really boring story about them. So, initially when I bought them I ordered the computer hardware first, and I was given the option of express postage or standard postage. I decided to choose standard postage because I still needed to buy a monitor and keyboard and the computer would be of no use without those parts anyway. I had to wait a couple more days before I had enough money to buy the keyboard and monitor, so I decided to choose standard postage for the first batch of parts to save money, on the assumption that I would have to wait for the other parts to arrive anyway and so there'd be no point in them arriving early. However, it ended up that one of the parts of my order (the case) wasn't in stock and so they had to wait for that to arrive before they could ship the order, so the second order of parts (keyboard and monitor) actually arrived earlier. So now because I chose standard delivery on the first order I am still waiting. Even worse luck is that my town doesn't do postage over the weekend, and it just so happens that this Monday is a public holiday (Queen's Birthday), so I won't get everything until Tuesday. It's all I've really had to look forward to (building the PC) and I've been waiting for so long. I don't really have much else to do to pass the time at the moment. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed that mundane story :chuckle:

I had SnapChat stop working on my iPad before it died, and my youngest got so frustrated with me because she thought I was ignoring her. Nope. I just stopped getting notifications lol Messenger has glitched like that a few times too.
Rants: My arm has been aching all day (not too badly though)- some of it is incision related, some of it is from yesterday's PT. I also had a fairly intense headache (4 on the scale) for most of the day. I had to go to the store and thought I would use some CBD when I got home. But, I picked up some Baconator Fries for dinner and the headache scaled back down to it's normal 1-2 after eating :huh: My eyes have also been driving me batty today... just allergy related super dry eyes. I can't put the drops in myself, one handed, and it's not yet annoying enough to bug my kids about lol
Rave: The gauze stayed in place all night yesterday and all day today. I was very surprised it's held up so well lol. There's a couple tiny orange tinted (:wtf:) blood drops on it, but that's it. I called Ortho today and got an answering machine that advised calling the hospital to have them page the on-call Dr. I did so, but they told me the only accept calls for patients who are up to 2 weeks post-op :bang: I asked her how I should proceed with the stitches popping out my arm :lol: She put me through to the ER, who connected me to the ER Nurse who sounded annoyed that I would even bother her with such a mundane question :chuckle: :|
She just gave me the legal mumbo-jumbo about not being able to tell me what I should do without seeing it in person... .but she also couldn't recommend whether or not it was a matter for the ER, Urgent Care, or just waiting it out until MOnday.
Seriously? I understand the need for some of the rhetoric but the whole thing just felt.... much more complicated than it needed to be. No one seemed concerned, in the least, so I'm not concerned. I'll just wait it out until Monday.
Rave: I beat Jewel Quest last night. I looked at my stats, and I had just over 38 hours invested in the game. Up until something like the 5th "map", I had played with all five characters. Once their levels were maxed, I just played with the first one. Now, I'm going to go back and play through with the other 4 on Expert difficulty.
Rant: I don't know if I have "vaper tongue" or if one of my juices wasn't mixed quite right, but my vanilla/clove mix does not taste right.
The trial size juices I got were decent, but golly, one or more of them was way too syrupy. I had to replace my mesh last night. A mesh usually lasts 5-6 weeks. This one lasted about 3 lol.
I've been digging through my drawers, trying to find my York Peppermint Patty mix. I think I found it (haven't given it the sniff test yet :lol:) but whatever's in it is too old (color and density look off). I'll have to mix up some more.
Rave: I just discovered "Elementary" on Hulu a few days ago. How the heck did I manage to miss that show? I'm really loving it.
Rant: I really, really, really dislike my new mask. It leaks too much. When I tighten it to fix the leaking, it's EXTREMELY uncomfortable... and when I move the wrong way it still leaks lol :bang: I've also noted that my headaches seem to be worse since using the CPAP again :mad: Maybe I need something like a diving helmet instead :cackle:
Huh... just checked my stats. After I fell asleep, the leak must have resolved itself because "mask seal" was perfect. I also only had 4 episodes an hour (night before last, it was at just under 7 an hour). I don't know... I'll give it a few weeks to see if I acclimate.
