I impulse-bought stardew Valley on steam.
I can kiss goodbye any free time I had before. farming simulation game are a terrible weakness of mine and this one hits aaaaaaaall the spots. *rolls around in pretty pixels*

Got a pay raise, and still have 97+ hours of vacation time, and realized that they base this on an 40 hour basis (duh) vs. 24 hours. Nice!

I really enjoy being accused of silliness, especially when I had nothing to do with it.

Rave- My digs are being renovated, Paint,Carpets and Vinyl

Rant- My Lucid dreaming is "FUBAR" (if your'e familiar with the term) because of it

Rave: After a few days with no alcohol my dreams have been soooo vivid, so much that I can't realize they're dreams. Whereas my drinking dreams are pretty damn obvious, a lot of nonsensical situations that get right up in your face and say," Look at me, I'm a dream!" I also finished Far Cry Primal this morning and unlocked 100% achievements for it. Well, good day so far. Peace out DV!

Curse you Milly Now I'm going to HAVE to get that game
The preview looks amazing. Those games are my weaknesses too.

Rant: Have to go to counseling today. Going to be completely broke afterwards It's still better than having to go every single week though (I guess )

Then I'll be joining a Tribesman on Ark. At least I'll learn new things.

Rant: need to start laying off the priobiotics. At least a little :chucke:
Rave: At least I can eat out now thanks to them.
Rant: Our favorite restuarant is closing on the 15th It seems like we JUST found the place. But, I guess, it's been at least a year. We eat there almost every Thursday. I get the grilled cheese, soup, mexican coke; hubby gets their special. We need to find another place we like just as much.

Rave: Hubby filled my tank on the way home. $17. as opposed to the $33. it had been taking :wow: I usually only put $5. here and $10. there. He filled it because local prices are .20 more and it's been raising a little more every day.
Rant: have to take the girls to the store.

A twitch streamer I watch sometimes just mentioned that game. Might give it a go... can't say I'm into farming simulators, but it did look interesting. Farming Sim never really caught my interest, though I do like me some American and Euro Truck Simulator. And I liked Rune Factory on the PS3.


Raves: I've been consistently going to the gym three times a week since November or December, and I feel great and have much more energy again. And I've only got 3.5 more months of school before I graduate. That's crazy.

Rant: I have to go to a stupid 5-hour meeting for work on Saturday morning. The good thing is that this should be the last time I ever have to go to it (it's an annual meeting for quality personnel and some parts of engineering). I'd rather just work a normal, full shift. Eight hours on the floor goes by so much faster than 5 hours of pie charts and graphs. At least's it's overtime...

I told my son about the game and he looked it up. Now he's raging at me for a change He has no PC so he says he might break down and get Harvest Moon for his PS3 (it seems very similar).

Rant: I fell asleep from 7-11PM No sleep for me tonight...
Rant: I REALLY need to grow a brain and figure out how to build coils and make e-juices. Legislation might get crazy soon.

Rant-ish: during my nap I dreamed I was driving too quickly during a long, sharp turn. I was falling asleep behind the wheel and almost scraped the side of my car on the barricade.
How do I fall asleep when I'm already asleep I get those dreams several times a year and it always boggles my brain.

Rave: I am exercising self-control and delayed gratification. which is REALLY hard for me I got a $15. iTunes card on Monday. I use it for my Smurf's Village. Once a day or so, there are exclusive offers. Usually they're for animals and stuff which I don't care about- but you get a bonus 100-125 Smurf Berries for $9.99. I REALLY want to expand my main village for 50 SB... but I'm holding out, waiting for a building to be offered instead of animals.
I've been waiting on the Garden Shop to roll through for about 3 months now (I'll buy a card and hold onto it until a building is offered. Spend about $15. twice a month.)

Something my hubby said yesterday is still making me smile today.
We were eating lunch yesterday and he looked at my, somewhat teary eyed, and said something I didn't hear.
"What's that?" I asked.
He blushed and looked kind of mischevious: "You look really pretty sometimes."
To which I replied. "Thank you. You're such a sweetie."
He said: "You're supposed to say 'what about the rest of the time.'"
To which I said: "I choose my battles wisely and take my wins whenever I can."


I came home and told the kids about the exchange.
"What a dickhead!"
But it was a genuinely sweet moment. My hair was all sorts of crazy yesterday and I did not look my best at all. Hubby is not generous with compliments AT ALL. If you've ever watched "Something's got to give" with Jack Nickolson (sp!), hubby's kind of like his character though not nearly as gruff and rude
Going to lunch again in a few.

Other than that, life is quiet and good.
I'm trying to drag hubby to the mall this evening. I'll have him buy some coils, in bulk, and sell them to me as I need them (instead of hoping the local place has them when I need them).
Depending on his mood (and if we actually go ) I might push my luck and see if he'll buy me a needlepoint book too.
If either of those happen, I'll be raving for days

In other new from stardew valley, I've binge-played enough to finish my first year and woo the pixel-husband. I should tell that I choose him because of his sweet, adorkable personnality, but really, it's because he looks like movie!Remus Lupin, only with glasses. I'm shallow like that.
That game is so relaxing to play. I don't have the urge to min-max everything and I still manage to have the money and materials to upgrade what I want to upgrade. Right now what's slowing me down is the overgrow on my land taking the space I want for my buildings lol Also I should start befriending the town's people, right now beside the pixel husband my only other friend is the residential hobo I gift food to because he's living right next to the mines.

@Milly sounds like me, I used to be totally addicted to Harvest moon, tree of tranquility and every other title going in series,

I got the game, Milly. Got an advance yesterday and took the plunge... then my son annoyed me and I haven't been back on, fearing he'll come back in my room to bug me some more
He was in here when I started, then brought in a chair to get comfy... "Oh, that's ____ and there's ____. ____ will give you." shut up already lol. He knew all the characters and all the tips from binging blogs and YouTube. He doesn't even have a PC.
I ended up starting over because... even though I am a woman, I can never remember the symbols of the sexes and I created a guy by mistake the first time around
I'm going to love the game, as long as my sons stops spoiling it for me.

Rave: hubby and I went to the mall last night. He bought me c. $380. in coils (20 5-packs) He asked if he'd get a discount for ordering in bulk and they actually gave him 10% off the purchase. Now I can buy them off of him as I need them.
He was too peopled out to even mention the book store, so no needlepoint book. But I did get him to buy himself some much needed clothes.

Rant: I'm freezing. Can't seem to warm up.

My Choline and Alpha GPC arrived, so that's nice. What isn't so nice is that I failed my DEILD last night, I can laugh about it now but I wasn't very happy with not being able to get back to sleep. Basically I woke up completely still but opened my eyes. I quickly closed them and hoped my body wouldn't notice. It did.

Zhaylin: Yay \o/ I'm trying really hard not to rave about everything I do in my pixel farm you know XD Which fine citizen of Stardew Valley do you like for now? I kinda went around and tried to be more social and Elliot the writer is pretty nice. I like Georges too, even if he's a grumpy old fart. I did get a little more affection just from talking to people, but it's really easy just to go around doing stuff in the farm and around it and never go in town save for the odd seeds buying. I want to see the characters backstory tho X3 I need so much gifts... But I need woods to get a bigger barn, and clay for crafting and... Aaaand it's three hours latter. Oops.

At least it's distracting me from the fact allergy season is starting. It would be nice the trees didn't try to have sex inside my face.

@Milly This game looks very good 10/10 on steam but isn't "harvest moon" or "Rune factory" .........like mega cute in comparison, and wid more stuff

although this games has bigger farm world, but there is only so much stuff, you can do in one day farming right?

There's a lot more to it that farming actually.

Spoiler for Zhaylin don't look, I'm spoiling things!:

You can go foraging, there's fishing and dongeon crawling, and skills to level-up to unlock lots of craftings recipes. alongside my crops I'm raising chickens, ducks and cows, for eggs and milk, and I have preserves jars and kegs to pickle my vegetables and make beer and wine. The mine is actually a dongeon, complete with monsters that drop loots used in crafting and various ores to get depending on how deep you are. There's also a lot off fetch quests given by the other characters that are often pretty funny, like the mayor asking you to discreetly retrieve his purple shorts...

hehehe, it's okay Milly. I've almost reached the 20th level in the mine; joined the adventures guild; turned in two bundles at the Community Center; almost completely cleared the land of my farm ; fixed the bridge at the beach (and haven't been back again yet ).... bought the bigger backback (2,000 g one); made my furnace; won an achievement in the museum; got my dog....
What I haven't done: found everyone I'm one person short and I have no idea where he/she is hiding (and I don't care enough to google it lol).
I seem to be as anti-social in games as I am in real life. If I pass a person, I'll talk to them. I do give the homeless guys edibles if I have any to spare on my way to the Mine.

Which is my rave of the day. I am really enjoying the game. It seems like a Harvest Moon sort-of clone to me- just bigger and better. I'll eventually start producing real coin and get my farm upgrades and money. For now, though, I'm just taking my time and enjoying it.

Rant: It is, indeed, allergy season. I was just lamenting that fact earlier in the day I feel like sleeping all the time because burning eyeballs make my body think it's sleepy. Nooooooo, it's just allergies, stupid brain.
Rant: I have to buy meds and vitamins tonight Need both my cranberry and cherry as well as my Celexa. Gah! I also need Tylenol and Ibuprophen, but I think I can make them stretch another week.

Rave: I got a FB message from the local vape shop owner saying that my juice has come in 2 bottles. And when I wrote back and asked if they can keep one back for me for next week (can only afford 1 bottle a week), she wrote back, NP. *whew*
It's a California company, so I hope they make it through all the bs legislation.
Rave: WV squashed the bill to tax our e-juice WOOT!WOOT! So, we're safe for a while yet...

Rave: I'm seriously so proud of my kindergarteners. They're so ducking smart. They score low on those stupid standardized high stakes tests, but damn are they smart cookies. Understanding (REALLY understanding) place value, reading and spelling words they have no business knowing how to read or write yet, and blowing my mind when they turn up with vivid and colorful drawings that look so good I literally want to frame them. My class is aces, man.

Rant: My free e-juice tastes like straight-up perfume :vomit: I was going to take it back to the store and ask them what was wrong with it, but decided to try it out on the kids first. My taste buds can be a little weird sometimes. The kids actually liked it Even though my daughter agreed that it tastes a little perfumy. So I gave the juice to her wife. That's what I get for "buying" a flavor before trying it. (when you spend x amount of money at the vape store and fill up a card with stars, you get a free 10ml bottle of their house juice).

Rant: Miley has an appointment 30 minutes away. Blah. I like it more when her appointments are local because I can come home and chill during that hour wait. But I'll live. It's more a grumble than an actual rant
Rant: Destinee is throwing a fit because she has to wait until after the appointment to pick up her last check. Yes. Her last check. She lasted 2 weeks before she quit.
In her defense, though, she was being harassed by a bunch of high school brats. The final straws were when they pushed a pot of boiling water behind her; spraying her with hot water; asking her if she's "slow" because she was taking too long with the potpies. She went to management but the incidents were written off as "accidents". She even tried working with them so she'd have morning shifts only, but no one there has a set schedule unless you're in school, so they couldn't.

Rant: I went without my Celexa for less than 24 hours (though I had reduced my dosage for a week beforehand). When I left Walmart last night, my face was tingling. 'Seriously, Anxiety? You're that dependent on the meds you can no longer wait even 24 hours?' I used to be able to go a week before symptoms resurfaced. Friggin ridiculous. It makes me worry, a little, that the med is going to stop working.

Rant: It seems my period is going to show up a week earlier. I have an appointment for a pap tomorrow Of course. I had to wait to months for an opening. Now there's no telling how long I'll have to wait before the next. But I've put it off for about 3 years already, so another couple months shouldn't kill me. I'm still going to make the appointment though. I asked to be seen for an everything sort of appointment. I need to have a script written up so I can have my blood panel done; I need to ask about my dizzy spells and see about getting more meds for it; I need to ask about my earache and my strange throat pockets

Gah!
For now, though, I need to start getting ready to head off...
