All new appliances are pieces of shit. Our 20-year old ones work perfectly fine (and very well) but as soon as we replace a couple, the new ones are absolute shit.

Everyone should be watching the transit of Venus. Everyone who isn't should just kill themselves right now. Assuming there is clear view from their position.

I whipped up a solar filter for my telescope and was watching from 8:00 to 11:00, perfect blue skies in the middle of weeks and weeks of rain and and clouds and wind.
The transit ends at 2:00 or so, but clouds came in at 11:00.

Nature.... I'm pretty sure you just cleared the skies for a few hours just for us to see the transit, but try a bit harder next time....

Seriously looking at Venus cross the face of the Sun was just mind boggling. I could barely wrap my head around it, emotionally.
Makes you gain a bit of perspective on where Earth is in the solar system and even Universe.

Just floating around the Sun....

And I'm watching it on the internet now from multiple places on the planet.

We got a new high efficiency washer this year and it is a total piece of crap. It doesn't wash clothes nearly as well as out 18 year old one did, but at least I get the peace of mind that I am using less water while I lift the lid and find that the clothes are still dirty. Innovation my assignments.

It's hit and miss, like anything.

My new efficient dishwasher kicks the shit out of any dishwasher I've had.
Same with the washing machine.

One dishwasher was horrible though, loud as fuck and bad at cleaning.

Clouds went away again, got some more viewing. But then just as Venus was touching the edge of the Sun they came back!

I guess that was punishment for getting mad at her....
But then they went away again and I got to see the last 5 minutes as Venus was leaving

I've never run outside and aimed my telescope so fast haha

My laptop Screen is cracked My pup accidentally knocked it down to the floor. She knew she was in trouble when I got home, Hiding under the table. Because she was abused severely before I got her i couldn't bring myself to give her more then one spank with a newspaper, Yelling at her and letting her know I'm mad breaks her heart anyways.

Oh and E3 kept me distracted and oblivious all my free time today, so I didn't get to watch Venus, but I didn't have any proper way to protect my eyes anyways.

Our new dishwasher is horrible. I'm considering my next appliances to be Viking (Expensive as all heck but if they last me 30 years, then I'm OK with it). It doesn't clean our dishes. our old one was great but this is an "energy star water saver" one. Absolute crap.

And our grandparents bought us a new refrigerator because they loved their new LG one so much and thought we needed to upgrade our 25 year old Frigidaire. MISTAKE! I can hear the new one in another room growling, because one of the gears or fans is fucked up and it's grinding against something.

I've also been told that Kitchenaid is reliable. (Oh yeah. we replaced our 25 year old Tube television; it's now in the basement. The new LCD one died within 3 years (our warranty period) so we thankfully had it replaced.) So many appliance problems. We still have our original stove from when the house was built 25 years ago, and microwave is even older. Obviously afraid to replace those (as well as our washer/dryer) since everything new seems to be awful. /FirstWorldProblems

Just found out my sister has been getting abused by her husband. No one else knows this and my sister is unaware that I know, but I'm knocking this bastard toothless first thing in the morning.

Just woke up to the sound of a struggle and a cat screeching right outside my front door. I go to find that there are two pitbulls in my yard trying to tear my cat in half. I beat the one with a stick to make it run away and now my cat just disappeared. I can't find him. I think he went underneath the house but I don't know what to do for him or how hurt he is. I'm scared he's dead because of me.

I put him outside this morning because he just kept attacking me while I was sleeping. He's usually good at staying on the porch. People need to learn to tie their mutts up. I seriously felt like following the bastards home and threatening the motherfucker who didn't chain them up.

I know it's natural for dogs and cats to fight, but damn, I'm a lot more sad than I thought I would be. I hope my cat is okay.

I feel like shooting the dogs... urgh..

It's difficult to complain about anything with one thing on my mind. Well, I guess I can say I'm becoming quite one dimensional.

I'm so bored. Nobody wants to do anything today. I'm playing Max Payne 3 and I can't get past the third level, I suck. Also I'm pretty much starving, we don't have anything to eat. I have been watching e3 for the past few days and I'm disappointed. I really thought someone would release a new console (I don't think the wii u counts). I AM excited for watchdogs and dishonored. And other than tomb raider those are the only three exciting ones. Oh and I was mad that "the last of US" is only going to be for ps3. But judging by the gameplay I think it will turn up like Milo.

I'm so bored I'm ranting about things I don't even care about. Im not a gamer, I only watched e3 because of Justine.

I'll probably delete this post cause its so ridiculous.

I wanted to rant about silly things like being jobless still or people in real life don't understand the severity of having OCD. But then I feel discouraged doing so because it doesn't feel like a real rant, I've probably done that like numerous times but I can't help it when it preoccupies my mind all the time.

After going for a job interview yesterday, I didn't bother to find jobs today because there will be repetitive jobs at jobs portal sites. I was tired of searching too and I am waiting for a reply too but I probably didn't do too well. The worst part was I forgot to ask how long I needed to wait for a reply when they ask me whether I have any questions.

I wanted to start studying vectors today for the math exam (which was delayed), but hell i'm so not feeling like doing it.... I want to watch the movie Rango, that i readied days ago but i had no chance to watch it yet. I just want to rest today without worrying about anything.
I promise to myself that i'll start studying earlier tomorrow to make up for it, BUT I WANT TO REST FINALLY!

Rango is not a "must watch" movie to me. I wasn't exactly pleased with it.

I'm not going to give you advice on studies. I'm guilty of everything you've done. Fortunately when I was at the age of exams, I only can use the computer during weekends that means I have a lot of FREE time during weekdays to study.

Well, i don't have high expectations ^^ I just want a little fun movie to watch today and it seemed like that

I guess cats really do have nine lives. After hours of hiding from me and ignoring my calls, I finally hear a meowing at the door. Not one scratch on him or sign that he was even hurt. I'm starting to wonder if it was even my cat that was being attacked. If it was my cat then he's got some regeneration powers or it really wasn't as bad as I thought. lol

I'm just happy he's home and still being annoying, rather than dead under my house.

I feel bad for doing this, but the next time I see those dogs running around, I'm calling the animal catchers. People who don't take care of their dogs don't deserve to have them anyway. And those dogs are ALWAYS terrorizing my neighbor's cats too. I'd be doing us both a favor.

Are you aware that there are leash laws for cats too? Someone could call the animal catcher on that cat the same way your going to with that dog. Anyway I'm being a complete hypocrite because my cat is never on a leash

lol I do realize that. I probably won't call them just for the fact that my neighbor keeps several stray cats that have become his in his yard and they wander around all of the time. But these dogs are up to mischief, you know? The cats are harmless as far as I'm concerned. And usually I'd be defending the dogs, but they attacked my cat in his own yard! My cat is almost always in our yard, too. He hasn't become brave enough to go exploring just yet. Except to my neighbor's yard to socialize.

WTF putting a leash on a cat is like putting a kid on a leash..... Sadly I've seen a kid on a leash, but never a cat.

My mom had a pet rabbit once. She walked it around the neighborhood on a leash. I wonder if I could find a picture..l
