There's a reason I didn't take debate class in high school (although I'm sure I would have learned a lot if I did). I'm absolutely horrible at debating issues, and especially the ones that deal directly with my life. This is why I don't hang around the extended discussion forum and usually I do try to avoid such heated topics.

It's not really that I disagree with what you (Warheit) were saying. It's just that I know I'm not the kind of person you were talking about. I could sit here and type out all of the reasons and I could defend myself until my eyes and fingers are weak. I just don't have the time or patience to get into the details of my rant.

Even if I did, you are undoubtedly going to be able to point out every flaw in my argument. I'm sure you've got more facts on your hands than I do—and not just surely, but you certainly do. I don’t always deal in facts, just my feelings and empathy for others in my position.

I took everything you said and made it personal. I did this because, well, for one, I really wasn’t expecting that kind of response, and, secondly, I already knew I had lost (in a sense). I knew I wasn’t going to be able to offer you anything you didn’t already expect or know from the start, and I felt like you knew that too.

I’ve made mistakes. I’m still hurting over what I’ve lost and the fact that I put myself in this position in life. But I am trying to do better. I won’t go into the details of my life to you specifically, but I do work hard to help maintain my family with my fiancée.

I was just upset that I try my best to put out good energy, to smile at people when I go out because it’s all I have to turn my days around. I rarely get out and actually see people except for taking my son to the park and going to the grocery store. And after dealing with a fussy one year old all morning, cleaning all afternoon, it would be really nice to not be treated like a sheep every time I go there, or anywhere, for that matter. It really had nothing to do with food stamps. That was really just a tangent in my rant—one of my paranoid delusions probably that everybody treats me like such.

I just didn’t see any reason why you felt the need to question me other than to knock me down a few pegs, or something like that. To me, you just seemed like a troll, and I thought it was unnecessary to call me out on a few mistakes I made while ranting.

I’m sorry for attacking you. It’s just that what you were saying, all of those questions, really got my heart rate up. You can see why, right? That is my life you were talking about, my insecurities that you put on display for an open debate. I just wasn’t ready for that, at least, not in this thread.

Anyway, that’s it I guess.

RANT: Why did I think that getting a cat would suddenly make me stop hating them so much? This little dude is probably one of the most annoying things I have ever done to myself. I promise not to give up on you Mister Jack, but seriously, quit with the biting.

hahaa, Suena. He's a baby and just "teething". You have quite a while to go before he stops biting.
I guess it's the masochist in me, but I don't mind being bitten and clawed by cats (in fun). I like to roll a kitten onto its back and lightly grab its face and give a couple gentle shakes. Then I'll pull my hand back and BAM, the kitten wraps its claws around my hand and bites.
But I'm weird
My puppy on the other hand... She's starting to concern me. She goes into a frenzy when she starts biting. ANd if she's not calmed down it seems her eyes actually roll back where you see more of the whites and she gets absolutely violent. Breaking her of biting is proving to be an impossible task. I just don't understand that sort of seemingly natural aggression. I've never experienced it before.

My rant is that I had a seriously messed up dream. I don't recall much of the specifics but I chopped 6 dogs in half with a sword. It was VERY graphic, but I'll spare y'all the details.
I've been taking Prozosin religiously for a couple of weeks now. It's supposed to help me sleep and tone down or get rid of these nightmares. It ain't working lol

I am working towards a two-year degree—mostly online. Gee, that’s probably not good enough for you, either, is it?

I am so sorry for being a little irritated for being treated like shit and thinking I could just come here, vent, and feel a little better.

And God fucking forgive me for contradicting myself. It doesn’t mean anything except that I obviously hate the stereotype itself and that I’m human.

It may just be me, but this thread will really start to get crazy if we all just start ranting about other people's rants. Anyone else agree?

I guess I just didn't realize I was going to get interrogated for my rant. I was feeling pretty good after I got it off my chest, too. But I guess that's not why this thread exists.

You're obviously going through a difficult time and I'm sorry about your situation. I'm sure it's more complicated than anyone reading gets the impression. There's a time for thinking rationally but you just needed to vent, and it would be best if people didn't accuse you for doing wrong in this thread, since it's for venting and hopefully you won't be turned off from posting here. Most people are going to have their own set of ideals, based on their own experiences which are always lacking, and are going to judge your actions because they don't see the whole picture of your situation. Life can take us to strange places, and every good result from even terrible decisions would never have happened if you hadn't made the terrible decisions. You have two children, who I'm sure you love and you wouldn't wish that they'd never existed. But they never would have been alive if you hadn't decided to have them. People who chastise you for those major decisions are lightening the importance of nearly every good thing that will ever happen to you, so in a way they're completely wrong.

So I read back a little...

Suena, don't worry about what anyone said. No one knows enough about your real world situation to truly understand your position better than you.

Additionally, some people just don't have enough tact to keep their opinions to themselves and try to understand what you were actually saying from the beginning.

Walmart is cheaper than alternative stores, and you need to get the most for the little bit of money you have.

Even if others have experienced hard work in their life, none of us have walked in your shoes.

We should all expect good customer service, every where we go and every single time we go there. When customer service reps act like that it reflects on the company, and furthers a stigma against people who truly need a helping hand.

No one ever gets where they do in life by themselves.

Damn this day pissed me off so hard I'd took me some control to "only" demolish a few cardboxes.

First someone wakes me up while I try to sleep, and because I was still a little down that certain person just felt responsible to leave some sarcastic and mean comments at the end of the conversation, which ended because I just needed to sleep a little more. Already pissed off by the backstab I received I couldn't sleep anymore, which didn't improve my mood. And the whole time while I try to get my thoughts on something different (partially in order not to call back that person and retaliate because I don't want to be a dick) some people just keep and keep on annoying, this person calls, that person calls, stuff happened in the house I didn't care about. Of course none of those persons apart from the first one did it on purpose but I still just wouldn't get these stupid few hours of personal space I needed to gather myself. My aggression level kept rising with each disruption and the mentioned inappropriate comments started haunting me again. Finally I was able to finish what I was watching, and I managed to break up in tears just so I could vent these emotions in a different way than destroying or retaliating. I finally managed to pull myself together and fall asleep for 2 hours, after making sure no one was able to contact me, before I woke up and couldn't sleep more. Usually sleep works like a reset for me but actually I'm still pissed and it's good it's so late now because no one calls anymore for today, or at least I hope so. Even as I was trying to write this down to get it of my mind I had to run around again to fix the internet connection of the router. There's absolutely nothing I want to do, and I can't sleep, I just want to get into a better mood and I have no clue how.

Usually it takes a lot more to get me into a bad mood that thoroughly but a certain person backstabbing me like that probably opened old wounds long enough for it to be possible.

This might sound like a miniscule problem, but when you know what subtle psychological terror feels like over several hours you might know which spot I'm in.

I'll just hope tomorrow is a better day...

Exactly. I was open about things and prefaced it with not it being an attack post. Some people just want to play the victim. Happens a lot on here because most people haven't grown up.

Everyone has been in a situation where poor customer service was offered. I highly doubt that poor customer service was being offered because Suena is on WIC and EBT. Notice how she never exactly stated how she was treated differentially after the fact. Was it non-verbal gestures? Did they actually say something to hurt her feelings? Sorry, but that information was provided.

It wasn't an interrogation. I just asked a few questions. They weren't really answered, but she went on another woe is me rant and tried to paint me as an asshole when I was just trying to understand where she was coming from.

He doesnt really beat my mom but he has hit her several times. I would call it beating but that term seems way too dramatic. They just broke up (probably getting back together in a couple weeks). He just stole her car and took off. The police basically said "even though the title and insurence is in your name we arent going to arrest him since you let him drive it a few months ago". Then they tell my mom "he cant break into his own house. And you cant lock him out of it, if you do we will arrest you". Just so you guys know my mom owns the house. He has no ownership at all. Then kevin calls and threatens to kill my mom with a gun while she was talking to the police. The police say "well just because he says that doesnt mean he is going to do it." The only gelp they gave us was to get a restraining order. Oh wait sir, we have tried to do that. But the judge wouldnt give us one. The cops then made fun of my mom and laughed in her face. Not to mention they called her a liar. Now they are saying my mom cant keep kevin fromhis daughter and that they both have equal rights to her. Even though he has a history of abuse and drug use.

The justice system is really fucked. Making my mom the crimanal and telling kevin he has every right to break in and take madi. Way yo go.

The police know some things but they are not definitive on every situation, particularly in domestic matters.

Yeah, usually it really is hard to do that for me but I kind of managed to do it. Still a little annoyed but it's back to "normal".

Then again I only suffer from those days once in a blue moon, there are people here with worse issues. But it still helps to just talk about it somewhere, thanks for the nice reply.

Wasn't referring to you specifically, but the people at Walmart or anyone else. And I'm pretty sure you were putting her down. The 'asking questions' defense seemed more like the "I'm not trying to be mean but ..." excuse people make before insulting someone.

It did kind of turn me off to this thread, but there are too many awesome people in here to let one person ruin the only comfort and support I have these days (I suppose that could be pathetic but it's true).

Zhay: lol. I've always been a dog lover and never cared much when a dog bit me playfully. Cats on the other hand. I don't know. They just seem like such conceited assholes. He just wants to be pet all the time. I feel bad for him though because our relationship got off to a bad start. Which is why I think he's so touchy. His biting HURTS though. And it comes at the most horrible moments. Like at night when I'm trying to sleep or in the morning right when I wake up. I'm trying to love him though. lol

Dakota: My situation recently and in the past with my fiancee's violence really doesn't compare to what you're going through with your mother, but I know how cops can be sometimes. When I finally did call the cops recently, they came and my fiancee practically charmed them. They really didn't seem to care much. And when the cop that had talked to my fiancee followed him inside to get his things, he was laughing and joking with him about the broken glass window he had punched earlier that night.. They kind of made me feel like I had called them for nothing.

They also told him he could come back in a couple of hours. Which was a really bad idea.

I really hope you and your family can get through this. I think that's bullshit that the cops didn't take the threat seriously. Sometimes I think cops are just so used to domestic calls that they don't always take them seriously. I really wish the best for you.
