Thread: Rant and Rave, Cry and Complain

They didn't, but it's not just one person that's bothering me. UGH.

I'm annoyed as heck and have a massive stress headache.
I FINALLY got my Walmart Credit Card in the mail. I activated it, took it to Walmart and put $20.
A couple of hours ago, I decide to add it to EQ2 and it wasn't accepted. I went to the moneycard site and I couldn't log on. I tried calling but it wanted my zipcode, which is what I was hung up on. I called back, finally had an option to talk to a live person... only it's after hours so they're closed lol
I fiddled around with the site for 30 minutes or so. I could access the options on the phone, but the web page said the info was wrong

SO... I went back to Walmart and bought another temporary card. I go to the site to activate it and now it wont accept ANY of the 3 addresses I give it. My home and the Farm are RR. addresses which confuses a lot of people into thinking it's a PO Box. No. There's a mailbox at the end of the driveway thank you very much. BUT, I got the "911" address for the Farm and I've used it ON THE SAME SITE but now they can't find the address. Then I use my hubby's office and it asks for an apt #. WTH?! So, after fiddling with that a few times, the web page got annoyed with me and said, 'fine, we'll activate the stupid card but we can't mail you the real one because you don't have an address'.
Fine. I can live with that.
I spent $6. on 2 cards. I'm a very unhappy camper.

To top it all off, I'm getting an earache.

About forums.

My main forum, a computer forum, has a couple of unjust mods. Things used to be great there. All mods were great people with whom you could reason there. Then they announced a new mass recruit of mods. From what I see, moderators were chosen purely based on their post count and reputation (equivalent to the old thanks system here) points. Well, most of the guys who were selected were great people. Two, however, are wannabe tryhard overly serious assholes. One of them hands out infractions wherever he sees the possibility or someone breaking the rules, instead of thinking if that member actually deserves to be infracted. One of my best friends on that forum, an incredibly helpful and funny dude, very active in the community with always great insight, got banned a couple of months ago because of these two mods. Before the new mods, he had zero infractions. Then the new mods came. They nitpick. Then he gets a bunch of unjustified infractions and gets banned. And he's not the only one by far. Dozens of very good members are now banned because of the new mods. The power they got as mods really got into their head or they are just desperate to please the higher ups, who don't care about their tryhardness at all, and are very nice people. Half of the old off topic regulars on that forum, gone. Really pisses me off. The only reason why the higher ups don't do anything is because they don't want to contradict other members of the forum staff. Those two people are pretentious jerks. Swearing against forum rules, however not all swear words not censored, such as damn. I say damn it. A mod comes and rages at me like crazy. Considering the circumstances, that's quite pathetic. Also, discussing banned members is NOT allowed for "it deteriorates the look of the site". A few weeks after the guy who I talked about got banned, I say "I wish (insert half of the username here) came online on steam". Boom. Mod rage. I mean, don't they think what is best for the general image of the site? I know I broke the rules there, but IMO it was perfectly justified. Nobody but a handful of people know who I was talking about, and all those people already know that user was banned. And unless that mod would've got in that thread raging (it's a 85 000 post long chat thread), only those handful of people would have ever seen my message and it would have not changed their opinion of the site at all. Now the subject of the message was known by dozens of members on the forum. Real great work maintaining the site rep there (reason the rule exists). Yeah.

All these good people gone while some pathetic trolls go rampant in the off topic section without any consideration by the mods.

That forum used to be a nice home. Now it's more like... I only visit there for discussing stuff with a few members and maybe some computer / monitor discussion, but really doesn't feel that nice anymore.

Go dig up the oldest thread on the forum and post something completely useless in it then leave

That really sucks Jussi. I had a similar experience on another site years and years ago. I stopped going completely after awhile.

Ugh... I woke up, went to the restroom, sat at my desk then it hit me: very mild pain. I'm either more dehydrated than I feel or I'm getting a bladder infection. WTH. I'm also almost out of pyridium (sp). Hubby wrote the script for me... gosh... back in 2001 or so. But the medical field has been cracking down on Dr's writing scripts unrelated to their profession, so I don't know if he can write me a new one if the pain gets worse. I REALLY don't want to go to a Dr. I know what the problem is, just give me some meds.

I also woke up feeling hungover again, so it's not the Wellbutrin (which I took earlier in the day instead of before bedtime), but with the on again off again ear pain I've been having, it's probably related to that. I'll start taking allergy pills and see if that helps. I haven't slept with an animal for so long I've forgotten the last time. I have extremely mild pet allergies and the new dog has been sharing my bed ever since we got her a couple weeks ago, so that may be the reason.

I'm also irritated that I can't get ahold of anyone at the facility my oldest daughter is at. They have digital phones which have been messed up all week because of a bunch of storms we've been having. I can't set up her 8 hour home visit without talking to someone first.
And speaking of which, last weekend I searched on-line for phone numbers for the place because no one was answering the main line. My car had died and I wanted to get my daughter a message. I FINALLY reached someone and the woman said she'd tell my daughter but she never did. *grrrrr*

Nope.

I still want to go that forum. It's the only place where replies come fast but are still not completely clueless. It's practically the only place where I find myself comfortable discussing computers.

I won't leave unless I get banned.

The only things I can do is raise my own voice against the establishment tbh. I've been planning to make a large movement against the current rules / way of conduct. It's just completely unjustified to follow the rules to the comma if the purpose of those rules is broken trying to punish a person for breaking them.

my parents just had the biggest arguement right now, it was auful, they were screaming and crying, and they called my bro and i down to talk in the argument. I feel like going into a dark room where no one can hear me and cry for hours. As i was writing this my eyes were blurry from tears.

i never thought typing calming music and clicking the first one on youtube would work.

Aw, I know what that's like... I can only stress this so much online, and it's probably been said to death, but it'll get better.

gameoverlord, trust me when I say that you have nothing to worry about. There's families who are totally split up and never talk to one another, and then there's families with abusive parents, kids who always scream at each other, and people who simply don't disrespect one another. There's always the opportunity to bounce back from a fight; it just takes a bit of time to settle down and then amends will be made. I don't know how many times my own family has fought; I'm sure these fights have been worse than many other families' out there. One time, the police had been called for domestic disturbance and another time, my sister ran away down the street. Back to what I was saying, you have nothing to worry about.

I'm stuck outside on the front steps for 8 hours today... Garage sale time! Unfortunately my dad's at work so I can't go in the house at all, in fear that I'll get robbed or something. I'm typing this on my only source on entertainment for today, my iPod. XD

, Gameoverlord. My parents fought like that all my life... and they still do to this day. My mom has always threatened to divorce dad but she never has. My brother and I used to tell them to divorce because it appears as if they're miserable together. But they're still together after 30+ years.
Just *try* to drown them out. Listen to music, lose yourself in a game or movie or go for a walk if it isn't too late. I know it isn't easy, though. If you need to talk, send me a PM.


My only rant so far today is that I slept almost ALL freagin day yesterday. I couldn't keep my eyes open; and after I took two allergy pills it was all over and I no longer tried to stay awake.
Well, okay, I guess there are more rants I also did something to my left shoulder (?) If I reach to the center of my back (to pull up my undies or fasten my fanny pack or to close a door behind me) I get a sudden intense ache. I noticed it yesterday morning and I thought it was part of being dehydrated. But I'm no longer dehydrated and it still aches. THe sore muscle is right along my shoulder blade... Ahh, I no what I did. I moved 2 cases of water for hubby 2 days ago. I must've picked one of them up wrong.

I'm also "blah" and "Grrr" in anticipation of tomorrow. I have to pick my daughter up from the facility then bring my son some groceries. The places are in complete opposite directions so I'll be on the road close to 4 hours tomorrow. AND my son is going to rip me a new one. He's been eating (I'm sure since he has no phone for me to verify) Ramen and Peanut Butter (no bread) since Tuesday. He's a big boy at close to 400 pounds, so he will most likely run completely out of food by today.

Ugh... I also need to call my daughter's CPS caseworker and see what the hold up is on her home (weekend) visits.
Plus, I'm hungry. I only have cheetos and chocolates to eat until late tonight.
Plus, I have a low grade headache lol

I'm.... 90% positive my boss is pissed at me. On the plus side... he's about 1200 kilometers away right now. *Fuck he just called >_< as I was writing this* CRAP!... he's not gonna be back tomorrow :/ Great, 50 people are gonna come in tomorrow and bitch about how he said he was gonna be here. And I have to deal with them.

On the plus side.... We now have a debit machine again!

On and off existentia crisis episodes have messed with me. I was extremely deluded for some time, forgetting what it is to live/be human/to have motives, I was just feeling like a shadow or something. It was terrible and scary because I suddenly felt very agoraphobic with regards to the rest of the universe around me.

My little brother decided to go stay at a friends house last night. Ok that's fine, I bought him a 26oz of Vodka, and he was on his way. So I wake up this morning, I find his car in the driveway, and him in bed. No vodka to be found. So I'm super pissed. If I find out he drinks and drives, I'm going kill him. this is twice now that he does this. Even if he drank a freaking drop of booze, he can lose his license, because he got it 3 months ago. He's suppose to have a BAC of 0% till he's 21!

And a mini rant.... Its SOOOOOOOO hot and I'm positive I'm going to drown thanks to the humidity.

I wish I got a picture of the car this drunk fuck ran in to on my street. He was drunk, probationary license and going 100kmh or so up our road which is 50 kmh limit and only probably 70 metres long or so. Don't even know how he got up to that speed, but both cars were completely fucked, the one he hit got pushed (parked on nature strip) about 20 fucking metres up to the top of the road.

Tell your brother to stop being such a fucking loser.

Actually we had someone do that as well.... Rear ended a parked car, pushed the car almost 2 houses down.

And I'm not 100% sure he did drink and drive... but. I do have suspect that he did. gonna talk to him about this tonight.
