Thread: Rant and Rave, Cry and Complain

The internet was down all morning and most of the afternoon. So what did I do? Was I productive? Did I move that cabinet into my room?
Nope. I slept. All day
My room has become a major hell-hole. I did a ton of laundry, but lacked a space for them, so they ended up on my bed. When I got tired, I pushed them to the foot of the bed. Then I found an old clothes rack rusting outside on the porch, so I brought it inside and assembled it. I had no stinking clothes hangers though lol. So I went out and bought some, but now all the clothes are massively wrinkled, so I need to wash them again.
And the clothes rack is in the middle of my room, because I have clutter against the walls where it needs to go.

I NEED to get all that taken care of. But meh... I just don't want to

I'm grrrr-ing today because my Everquest subscription ran out and I wont have any money until Saturday.
Also, my daughter volunteered me to drive the lady she babysits for to an insurance office AND to take daughter and babysitters kids to the pool and pick them up. Which means, I have to put my last $5. in my gas tank instead of buying lunch.

Hubby still owes me $50. because he was short on Monday, so I've not been able to drive out to the Farm to give my son more food. By about this time he's living off of Ramen and is probably madder than heck.
To top it all off, I feel hung over again which means I CANNOT take Wellbutrin before bed.

I don't want to go anywhere or do anything, but I can't keep my daughter cooped up in the house all summer long and she doesn't really ask for much, so taking her to the pool is the least I can do............
Blah.

Ok... I have two acers sitting on my bench. Both are Vista computers with broken screens. Which means they were made with-in lets says anywhere from a year to 4 years apart. Both screens are broken. Ok... Acer #1. Pop 4 screws off in the corner, pull back plastic case, unscrew brackets, BAM! screen is off. Do the opposite to put back on

Acer #2. Take the keyboard off, take the chassis off, take the motherboard out, take a the hinges off, to get to TWO Mother fucking screws. Oh Hey, the screws are super tiny, strip screws, cry in a corner for a bit. get jeweler flat head screw driver, take striped screw out. Finally take plastic cover off and change screen. To put back together... put all screws in plastic case, Fiddle with wire puzzle, put screws back in, out mobo back in, basically put everything back together... put caps on hinges to cover wires and ugly things.... Cap does not fit because wire is in way! Cry in corner some more, swear, got into rage. Continue to cry. Write rant.

That second Acer took 2 hours!!! The first Acer took 5 mins! I wanna have a "word"with Acer's engineering team, cause I'm going to shove that laptop where the sun doesn't shine

lol, OldSparta. I love your narrative. Sounds annoying as heck! I would've thrown it out a window lol so you have to admire your persistence!

I'm ranting because I JUST took a bunch of kids to the pool, just got home, and I'm going to have to turn right around and pick them back up We weren't supposed to get rain and storms until 11:30PM, but it all decided to blow in early. It just started raining and thundering... and yep, my daughter just called. Heading out......... *pout*

My best friend still hasn't replied to my text and voicemail I sent her two weeks ago. And she always has her cell on her, so I'm not sure what's up. Probably choosing her boyfriend over me, again. Last time I invited her out to the mall for some shopping, she insisted on him coming along too, which drove me nuts, so I'm guessing something is up.

Ugh I know what that's like. I have a "friend" (loose term) who always has her phone on her, I've barely talked to her all summer and if i text her she doesn't respond, but then complains about how no one talks to her and how her summer is "so boring" and she does nothing....or she will respond like 2 times then stop.

this is how another one of my loosely termed friends are...then she's like "OMG I LOVE HIM WE'RE GONNA BE TOGETHER FOREVER, I WILL NEVER LEAVE HIM AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE ME"
They've only known each other for not even a year and only have dated for 2 months. I told her I would bet her a thousand dollars they won't be together "forever"
this sort of turned into my own rant. but I totally get what you're saying.

I'm a "foul weather friend". I'm always there when people need me, but to just chat or hang out... meh... I just don't. A couple people have been leaving me messages on FB, but I've not replied. The oldest is probably a couple weeks. I don't know how to do the "just chat or hang out" thing.

I just made it back from picking up the kids. It was raining so hard, I could hardly see to drive. By the time I got home the rain had stopped lol

How bad is it? Some games prolly been worse. From what I know, resident evil 4 didn't have mouse support at launch (PC)

Overlord was kinda crap to control

I have no idea what those refer to... I'll take your word for it.

Though I still don't know a single game that is NOT clunky on a controller.

I cant play PC games at all i just cant get used to the controls, so... yeah, Darksiders is on the PC as well O_O

I was tired so I took a nap. Woke up with a bad headache. Ugh.

Just had my hours cut and given to a brand new employee who doesn't have a clue.
My truck is ticking like a timebomb, and every time I try to shift into first I fear it may explode at any moment.
I don't have to money to pay for a new engine or a new vehicle, because at the moment I'm trying to save up to have my wisdom teeth pulled [for causing me constant pain for the last few months].
They've gotten so bad over time that even too much smiling/happiness is enough to cause pain.
A friend from Arizona is in town for a week only, but I can't even visit him due to my truck issues.
Now my computer may finally be on it's last leg, because I can't keep a stable connection for more than 5min.
It used to make me feel so good when customers would tell me that I always seemed so happy and positive all the time, and that seeing me would brighten up their day...
...but lately, even though I'm trying, it feels like it's twice as hard to get myself into that same state of mind; I'm going through the motions but don't seem to be getting anywhere as a result.

And all I want is a left-handed cigarette and even that's not available at the moment!


All minor issues, I realize.
But this is my only day off this week, and I feel like I can't even enjoy myself.

Normally I try to avoid complaining, [I'm always the one saying "Can't complain; won't do me any good anyhow!"], but in a way it feels good to type all that out.
The mixed emotions I experience after reading it back are enough to make me laugh for a second or two.

But then I just go back to being lonely.

All games minus a select few are on the PC as well as consoles. Not to mention there's a huge amount of games.. not on the consoles.

So I'm supposed to be attending a casual dirt 3 league match with some peers from my main forum, and I have no idea how to drive with the wheel I'm going to be fetching from a previous owner a couple of dozen minutes before the match. I don't know if I should come up with an excuse to not showing up there, lol. All those other great drivers there. A couple are able to easily do top 10 times on half of the tracks in the game. -_-, while I'm just a casual player who is quite crap. I'm assuming I won't be the only one or it'll be quite awkward. o.o

there are a lot of games on consoles not on PCs

List 20 that are actually worth playing.

And there's PLENTY more "not on consoles"


Sigh. My headphones are taking long to arrive. Ordered on the 3rd from amazon. The seller estimated arrival time on the 19th. It was the only place where I could find those particular headphones though, so yeah.

( i am not a fan of shooters, but if you are, than that explains everything )
