That would be cool Link, and thanks :)
So your kids are of today too Melanie? Ours had to go back today thank god.
 Ophelia. Feel better soon.
I fell right back to sleep this morning. Slept until 11AM or so. I thought for sure that I had slept through Court, but I eventually found my notes and saw it wasn't until 1:30 *whew*
But it was, indeed, a continuance (as I knew it would be), so we were in and out within 5 minutes. We don't return on the 12th, though. That's the day my son sees his counselor. We go back to court on the 7 (I believe) of next month. We'll have n MDT before then.
My son wasn't there. The Shelter he's staying at couldn't bring him. That place is pretty useless. I was looking forward to seeing him :(
I saw my youngest daughter's best friend Bobby at the Court House though. She's supposed to get out in September. Her dad seemed overwhelmed because now his 29 year old daughter is in the hospital for bypass surgery.
I want to go back to sleep. I need to find a Speed dealer if this keeps up :?
Double post :bang:
I swear to god im so fucking pissed right now.Im just waiting for coughing up blood...
Oh man. I see mothers complaining about children here. So you don't enjoy your child company even though you gave birth to them? :(
*Wonders if my mum will rant the same thing if she comes to DV*
 ColdCrisis
lol, Carrot. :hugitout: Just because we complain doesn't mean we don't also enjoy our kids.
I am ranting because Snuffanuff nearly squeezed my guts out. I was trying to do at least one of the my goals from the One Month thread. I went out for a walk but I couldn't find Snuffanuff's leash, so I just wrapped his runner around my waist. I went around the field once (10 minutes or so) when I saw one of my daughters friends at the trailer. I stepped on the runner to keep him from jumping on her, but when we finished talking (some 20 minutes later) I wasn't paying attention and he ran after her, squeezing my guts in the process. I even peed a little
The dogs and I then walked through the field to go home (though we were already home, we reversed our path). But I went through the hay instead of the path made by someone's 4-wheeler (5 minutes). I now understand, though, why Snuffanuff is such the acrobat. He jumps so high so he can see above the hay :cackle:
I failed to reach my 30 minute goal... BUT, it is a step in the right direction...
@Zhaylin: Well... I do complain about my mum too but did I ever complain she was annoying? *Tries to recall* But yeah, I know I'm annoying. :damnit:
And I'm glad you're taking up a one month challenge! I still haven't decide what to do next.

Rant:
I woke up really early today, like 5am because I wanted to write down my dream. And to add on I slept really early, at 10pm, because I dozed off on the sofa again. Grandma brought a towel as a blanket for me too. So I woke up and bathed and spent the next hour catching up on reading on DV. Now I'm too lazy to type my dream journal. :D?
WHAT. THE. FUCK. ING. HELL. :pissed:
Right... explanation. So I helped my roomie buy a cheap netbook for a mutual friend of ours. We haven't met him in person, only online, but he's pretty awesome and we felt like doing something for him.
Well, apparently our generosity is enough for his mother to FREAK and think we're sex offenders, or something. She grounded him for an unknown amount of time and I guess he's not allowed online. I don't even want to know what she did with the netbook... probably either mailed it back to sender or smashed it into pieces.
The only reason I even know as much as I do was because my friend was chatting with me on AIM using his 3DS, and having to be all sneaky about it. And this whole time, he was telling me "don't worry about it" and "it's not your fault". Seriously, you can't find a nicer person on this half of the internet.
But me and my roomie both feel like royal assholes for getting him into this mess, even though we only wanted to help. WHAT KIND OF SOCIETY DO WE LIVE IN THAT PUNISHES PEOPLE FOR BEING GENEROUS!?! :bang: Fuck this world.
Um...should we be worried? GavinGill already went through a lung issue. I don't want to see you have one also. :(
All parents have moments where their precious little angels aren't so angelic. I am happy that my kids behave outside the house, and for other adults, and that shows something went right. It would just be nice if they would behave at home.
As I've told them directly, and often, nothing could alter my love for them.
I am not allowed to post the pic here (I think, it is fucking gory as shit), but it is fucking retarded. It shows a picture of a real face with no eyes, no nose, no skin and no lips (so basically only blood) and under it it says (simplfyed) that he- while under the influence of Angel Dust- peeled off his own face using a broken mirror and fed it to his dogs. The dogs were pumped and some of the pieces of his face were recovered. He survived due to massive drugs and anesthetizing his system.
People are so stupid...
Don't rant too hard, Solarflare. What you wrote intrigued me, so I looked it up.
Here's what Snopes has to say:
snopes.com: Self-Mutilation While on Drugs
I REALLY hope the story ISN'T true. How horrible!!!
I'm ranting only because I'm kind of hungry and Snuffanuff has been carrying on royally.
I would be ranting more if I was allowing myself to think about the crap my hubby's going through, but I'm doing my best to keep my mind away from it. Especially since he had to buy that "King Tut" piece of glass at the auction.
The short of it is: When his business was audited they told him he had 10 days to correct x, y and z. His manager takes care of all that stuff. She's been in the hospital. She's STILL in the hospital. The government refuses to extend any time. SO, they may shut down his surgical practice.
He only does surgeries on Tuesday's and the first Thursday of every month but it's still his major money maker. Making him stop could force him into retirement.
He had to take a valium to sleep tonight because he's raging so hard PLUS worrying about his friend.
It's annoying how the government can extend themselves as much time as they like, but the moment someone else needs any they refuse.
:sniper:
**EDIT**
New rant:
Why is it, I can pop caffeine pills as if they're tictacs for days on end and I have little/no (apparent) problems from doing so, but the moment I eat healthy blueberry/Greek yogurt I get acid reflux so horribly that I can't bend over in the slightest without losing what I'd eaten?
:bang:
I don't know what you're normal diet is, but eating healthy food actually can make you feel sick if you're not used to it. Actually, any drastic diet change can have this effect, just because you're body isn't used to what you're giving it. Or... could be allergies? I dunno, I'm not a nutritionist. :)
i've been banned from another site, one that i really liked. it actually meant a lot to me.
i'm very angry right now, so i'm typing this out pretty hard.
I thought yogurt would be good to counter, or even help prevent acid reflux. I'm not a dietitian or nutritionist, but I am working on a perfect baseline diet, so I looked into this.
Acid Reflux Forum - Yogurt for acid reflux ? displays a post that says,
"cold milk is a good remedy for acid reflux..Yogurt contains high proteins which might stimulate more gastric juices..I would go for milk products that are liquid and pass quickly further as they prevent reflux..any fat, high protein, red meat, alcohol, tobacco will increase reflux..bland diet, fruits, liquids are good."
Plain yogurt with fruit might be a better option for you, especially before bed. Complex carbs with a light protein can help you go to bed if eaten an hour before bed. Keep in mind that protein will give you energy, so that hour is important. Bananas and milk are good also, but again, an hour before bed. A banana will be easy on the stomach, but remember, the natural sugar will pick you up before the triptophan becomes serotonin which will help you sleep. The calcium in the milk helps make the serotonin more bioa-vailable, and the combination should help prevent acid reflux.
Very interesting, Sandman. Thanks for the info!!
Sefalik... yeah, my diet has pretty much sucked my entire life. I've always been a junk food junkie, though I've improved by leaps and bounds since my younger years. In between gallstones and duodenitis (and acid reflux to a lesser degree), the things I can eat could have been better. Then you take in the fact that I have no working stove/oven or a full fridge and my options reduce even more. I hope to have both by the summer!!!
I can't drink milk because it tends to send me to the toilet and it also strangely clogs my throat. I'm trying to build up a tolerance for healthier food though- steamed veggies and fish mostly (I DO have an enormous freezer, a microwave and a steam cooker).
My rant was misleading because I ALWAYS have some degree of reflux going on. I take, probably at least 900mg Ranitidine throughout the day every day (2 pills at a time at 150mg each). Caffeine and nicotine probably account for at least half of the problem. It just annoys me how when I do something right, I seem to suffer more sometimes :cackle:
ANTI-RANT: I actually managed to stay awake for some 12 hours!!! It took a crap-ton of caffeine and Hoodia to do so though :? I wish my hubby wasn't so cheap and would buy me my meds. It's also freagin ridiculous that our insurance covered a good deal of the price for several years and then they up and denied the med one day :sniper: Provigil is truly a miracle drug. At over $4. a pill though, it would probably be cheaper to buy street speed :bang: But I'm too ignorant of that sort of thing, and too cheap myself when Caffeine *sometimes* gets me by.
Okay... well, that anti-rant didn't turn out so well
Ouch! Hope you get a stove and fridge soon. I depend on that stuff! :)
You might be allergic to milk (rather, cow's milk). There are some alternatives though. I use almond milk. You can get the sweetened version which tastes pretty good, but I usually go with the unsweetened. Kinda bland, but I don't drink it plain so it doesn't bother me. I just use it either for cereal or my protein shakes--tastes good with both. There's also rice milk, goat milk (which is real good), coconut milk... lots of alternatives.
Granted, you'll want a fridge before you start buying milk. :)
I was going home from vacation, and since I had a lot of stuff to get done (that I had wanted to do yesterday, but my father said I should just do it today) I was running a bit late. I got to the airport express train, but it left right in from of me. I literally stood there knocking on the door (and pushing the button) before it drove off. So I had to wait for the next one. When I got to the airport, I discovered I'd misread the departure time, and the plane was leaving 20 minutes earlier than I had thought. I rushed though and - wouldn't you know it - they closed the gate just as I got there. Had I gotten that airport train 10 minutes earlier, I would have made it. So I had to pay for a new ticket later today, costing me about 210 US$. God damn it. I hate travel.
I can't even get drunk and shout at the world when I get home, because I have to get up early tomorrow morning for a mandatory exercise.
I'm a little freaked out after I read an article about a 500 year well preserved mummy in the middle of the night. Article Link: Inca Girl, Frozen for 500 Years, Now On Display : Kim MacQuarrie’s Peru & South America Blog
Yes, I'm timid. :disconcerted:
the poor things :(
My internet is being soooooooo slow today. Taking ages to load pages.
Also I'm snacky and I don't know what I want.
I don't even know myself right now.
I feel like a blob. I don't want to do anything, but I already know what that will lead too..
Also, the Vietnamese Restaurant I go to occasionally seemed to shut down. I saw some walls being broken down...
Either they're getting a new renovation in the near future, or maybe they couldn't keep up with maintenance, even though the place looked fine to me.
Maybe they're not getting enough money to sustain the place, but damn, I'm going to miss the meals over there! UGH
It gets boring making pancakes and eggs all the fREAKINg time if I run out of other food. DAMN IT! SCREW THIS conservative LIVING!!!
