Damn, Ophelia, those were some crazy storms! We get to see a lot of the news footage here.
It hasn't rained a drop yet here.
YAY, Aly's back :)
Those were some nasty storms!! I hope everyone's okay.
I'm ranting, as always, because I've been sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. My p-doc once again stated how he thinks I have catalepsy but I simply cannot afford the money for it.
Then I went shopping :)
I was grumbling to hubby how I hate needing clothes and yadda yadda. He asked how much, and I said "I don't know. Maybe $60." He gave me $200. :)
I found some really nice stuff at Goodwill. I bought more than I needed for the trip and it came to less than $60.
But later on, I'm going to go to Wally-world for some socks, undies, make-up and (hopefully) a new pair of good sandals. I also need another pair of "tights" because the pair I live in is getting too loose.
^^^I saw your undies today.
It finally rained...and made everything wet, but not much more.
Headache still has a firm grip on my head.
We passed 10,000 likes.
Inb4 she likes THAT!
Grandma sewed up the sides of my pillow which tore because I fiddle too much with it. But I like fiddling the sharp edges with my fingers. Now that it's sewed up, it's not sharp any more!!! :damnit:
:cheeky:
>w<
My rant is that I woke up after not as much sleep as I'd like, but I'm too lazy to go back to sleep. :T Also....
Baw. :therethere: Well, I suppose you can-
Hold on. They actually TORE from that? :o How hard were you fiddling with them? :chuckle:
Well, can't you always just go get a new pillow? :)
Also, did every side tear? :panic: If not, can't you just turn it around? :P
 Melanie. Hope you feel better today.
 Carrot. Can you fall asleep holding something else? I always fall asleep holding a baby wipe in one hand and usually my necklace in the other. I tend to live in whatever jewelry I like, but my necklace is bulky and jabs into my chest, so I usually wrap my hand around it.
Oh, while I'm thinking about it. Here's my necklace:
CyberMoon Emporium WitchCraft Supplies - Aromatherapy Jewelry, Diffuser Pendants, Diffuser Necklaces It's the "Rose Diffuser Pendant" (second from the bottom). I bought the only one ever sold by our local Head Shop and mine has hemp cord instead of a chain.
Lately, other than my watch, it's the only piece of jewelry I wear.
I dreamed of tornadoes last night (thanks to watching CNN clips of the tornadoes in Texas). I have mixed feelings about that :?
I'm currently ranting because I feel like a migraine is coming on. I have to drive to Cincinnati in 14 hours so I hope it either doesn't develop or dies down quickly.
I'm also ranting because I managed to spend all but $20. of the $200. hubby gave me. I was hoping to have a lot of change for him so I could make a good impression. But I'm worried about him seeing my scars so an easy $25. went toward makeup and concealing cream. I've been experimenting and it actually works better than I expected. A lot of the scars can be passed off as being older than they are. He hasn't seen me naked in almost 1 1/2 years, so that will make it a littler easier to sell.
I got a cute pair of L.e.i. shoes. They're heels, so I hope I don't break my neck (even in Flats, I tend to land on the side of my right foot when walking pretty frequently). When I get back, I'm exchanging them for a pair of sandals I love. They're not available in the color I usually get, but I'm not overly picky about such things.
Ugh.. I think it's about time to go back to bed :bang:

I saw a specialist today about my lungs and she said that I've almost completely healed, it'll just take a few more days. I have to get a CT scan done though so they can check if there are any bumps, blisters, irregularities, etc on my lungs. If they find any, she says I can choose to undergo minor surgery to reduce the risk of my lungs collapsing again. She said I shouldn't smoke marijuana at all ever again but I have a feeling that she said that because of her moral stance on the matter. For one thing, she was Asian and most Asians (at least around here) tend to be raised on a super strict moral code that's very anti-drug. She was also wearing a cross around her neck so...
All the other doctors I talked to said smoking small amounts once in a while should be fine though. Then again, this doctor was a specialist. I'm not about to completely disregard a legitimate medical concern just for the sake of getting high, but to be honest I don't plan on stopping altogether. Cannabis has helped me mature and drastically changed the way I think, I'm much more appreciative of everything around me and more level-headed than I used to be and that's because of the marijuana. I used to waste an hour or two every day on these stupid rituals or compulsions but ever since I started blazing (along with a bit of cognitive behavioural therapy), I haven't had to worry about that. I'll just have to cut down on the smoking, maybe one joint a week, and switch to baked goods and vaporizing as soon as I can.
It might be hard to bake brownies without anyone noticing but there's a real push for legalization going on right now in Canada (especially here in BC) so hopefully, I won't have to worry about hiding it for too long. And even if it isn't legalized, the medical marijuana laws should ease up substantially by the end of the year so there's a good chance I can get medical marijuana card. Hell, my physician told me I should be allowed to have one already but said there's no point in applying - under the current MMJ laws, even cancer patients have a hard time getting their card. And as for a quick fix, I'll try to buy a vaporizer by the end of the month. As far as I'm aware, vaporizing won't harm my lungs at all but I'll double check with a doctor just to be safe.

Damn Gavin.. hope your lungs heal well. :blue:
I'm always amazed at how in the week between vacuuming, my cat can shed the equivalent of 3 cats worth of hair. I should start knitting afghans.
On the upside, EVERYONE is scared of the vacuum. So I take my time. I love my hardwood floor vac. I'm not embarrassed to admit it I LOVE MY HARDWOOD VACUUM!!
Amen to that! I love my vac also, and I too have hardwood floors.
I also have cats, and share your woes.
My rant: My kid has zeroes for a number of assignments. Why does he have zeroes? He didn't do the work.
Ass.
I've said the same thing out loud.
Ass.
Oh my teeth hurt from going to the ortho yesterday xD AHHHHH HALP. ALso on Monday i lost my flashdrive in the computer lab at my school and 3 hours later it was gone >_>I've asked like erryone. BUT I think I might know the teacher who found it, so hopefully I can talk to her soon. That flashdrive had EVERYTHING I could salvage from when my computer crashed, including personal shit, and current/old papers/essays/research papers, etc. etc.
Hehe, there's something sadistic about 'liking' someone's rant....
Seriously though, hope you find the drive. I used to store all of my stuff on an external drive and on the net....multiple times. Until I realised I was going overboard (that is, the 'freak' improbable disaster events that'd destroy my backups just weren't going to happen).
Now I only store it multiple times on the net.
My 3rd or 4th attempt at making homemade cream cheese turned into something slightly grainy, and not smooth and luxurious like my very first attempt was. While I think I finally honed in on the problem (too much starter, too much rennet, and too long ripening/setting time), I couldn't bear to toss another botched batch that cost me around $5.00.
So, turning lemons into lemonade, I substituted 1 and 1 half cups of messed up cream cheese for the 1 and 1 half cups of sour cream required for a corn bread muffin recipe. Lordy.
Baking is so much fun!
My butt itches.
Rant over.
That sounds like an omen for belt whipping.
Dishes.
Also, not too found of the Dogfish Head brews I picked up earlier... "Indian Brown Ale"
I had a beer from them before that I liked. I thought it was this one, but I guess not. Not bad, but not something I'll buy again.
ALSO, I forgot my iPod in the car. I refuse to do dishes without music! So I have to go back out and get it.
Hmm, my rants are fairly lame.
On another note (but related to beer), what stores would sell a small bottle opener? I have a big fancy thing that open wine bottles and such, but I need a reliable portable rig. Looking for something small and metal (no plastic crap) and I don't want to buy it online.
Hmm, on second thought... maybe I will buy one online.
