My daughter who's in Foster Care, has Friday's off from school for the rest of the year because the area had allocated (?) so many snow days and they only needed 2 days the whole winter. Very strange weather indeed.
My own temperature preferences vary greatly. If I'm not doing anything, I like the temp at around 86 (which is what I keep my AC on for the most part). At night, though, it still gets cold, so I turn off the AC, wait for it to get colder, then flip on my space heater.
But when I go to sleep, I like the temp at around 60. I sweat wayyy too much in my sleep- always have and it's a pain.
I'm ranting right now because
1) I'm a pig. I went to Sheetz and bought 3 things of "Sushi". I ate 2 of them (8 pieces!) and I am absolutely stuffed. I would eat sushi or just regular old fish every single day if I could. I bought a steamer last night and some fish and rice, so tonight I'll eat very well
2) My female Cockatiel CeeCee is going to die soon. She had what looked like a seizure yesterday. She was really unbalanced for awhile and kept falling off her perch. Today, she had another minor one. She's keeping her balance okay, though, for the most part. Her buldging belly is probably doing her in though. I'm surprised it hasn't ruptured long before now. (There are no bird vets anywhere near me and I couldn't afford them if there was )
3) Snuffanuff is going to drive me crazy with his barking for awhile. I finally tied him up in front of the house. That wont last long though. He'll break the color that was bought for him by a neighbor. I'll buy him a new one tomorrow, then move him behind the house again so my hubby doesn't bitch about the noise.
I saw Snuffanuff at a distant neighbors house yesterday playing with some kids. Some time yesterday evening, he was on the porch barking to be let inside. He was wearing a color and dragging a very long leash that was attached to a very long metal spike-ish thing. I walked it all back to the neighbor and asked if they wanted a dog lol and to give them their stuff back either way. They were not in the market for a pet and laughed when I told them of my plight in keeping him inside or chained up. They said the spike they connected him to was attached to some bigger thing and was in the ground. That dog is stubbornly determined.
They said he wasn't being a bother, they just worried about him getting hurt, which is why they tied him up. I told them if they ignore him, he comes home. I apologized for his intrusiveness and they said their daughter loved playing with him. They even called him Buddy and there was a sign on their garage "Home of Buddy" that the kids had colored lol.
It was getting dark so I could hardly see her. Before I left I introduced myself and she said "I know where you live I just didn't know you had a dog... your daughters used to come over all the time... I lived down the road... I'm Mary Joe." I haven't seen her for at least 3 years.
I can't remember her daughters name for the life of me. Victoria maybe? I'll have to ask my daughters tonight.
When I was coming from getting Sushi, I saw Snuffanuff at Exxon harassing an older woman. She just shooed him and he didn't jump, but I need to find a way to keep that boy contained. I hope everything holds him until I can get to the store tomorrow.
