And then I also worry about Bobbi. She's been- pretty much- part of the family for several years. She loathes her father. (And from stories I've heard he has an abusive streak).

I think you should tell her, though. Chances are she'll find out eventually, and it probably will be better if she hears it from you. Also, if you don't tell her she may blame you for it later on.

So, about a month ago I missed a day of school and a test. I planned with the teacher to retake it that Thursday. I COMPLETELY forgot and forgot I even needed to retake it. So here I am three weeks later and I check my grades. She put a 0 in and now my grade in that class dropped to a C. So I email her last night and ask when I should come in to take it. She didn't reply this morning and I don't have internet to check my email at school. So anyway I go to school and when I come back home I check my email:

"Today during lunch............"

Written exactly like that. The dots bothered me xD...she must think im stupid. ANYWAY since I never even got that email until after school I didn't go in during lunch! So now I have to plan with my teacher again and she is going to be mad at me. :/

Activity-wise dreamviews seems to be quite dead. There was a time off-topic section was so bursting with activity it was a major concern on how to suppress it and promote primarily on-topic posting. I'm sure the hacking incident is not doing this site any favors. Still, kind of wish we had the off-topic surplus problem today. Lulz.

Most on-topic discussions end up being someone referencing someone's "how to do this" guide, and by the time a person has stayed on DV for a few months, they're already used to general lucid dreaming topics, and rarely go to the on topic discussion because of this. There may be times where one goes to the on-top section for a few questions, but it usually leads to the same generic answers applied in a different syntax.

Which is why suppressing off-topic discussions will entice others to not spend so much time on Dream Views. It's hard having engaging conversations on on-topic sections when most of the experienced users, or those have a good grasp of lucid dreaming techniques etc. will know what will come next.

And if someone tries to come out with some new "OMG I GUARANTEE 100% LUCIDITY" will most likely be taken care of with the usual responses to things like that.

Off-topic is sort of a way to keep people coming to Dream Views. Because if others want to suppress off-topic to promote on-topic, we're just going to get the same questions over there when most of us already know what the answer is going to be.

And sometimes off-topic discussions help others branch off to things dreaming-related like finding people to have shared dreams with (without going to the sub forum for that; like having one friend or two instead of a group of people you don't really know much about).

It may seem like some random social fest, but at least there's interaction that helps Dream Views feel down to earth.

I recon thats Waking Nomads fault. He is blazing trails and is attracting serious attention at the moment.

Off-Topic is a great way to get to know people. It's good to have a well-rounded forum to post threads on all kinds of topics.

Apart from the hack which really hurt DV, a few of the regular people around here have chosen to take breaks from posting for various reasons. A few others who have not stated specific reasons also seem to be posting less this last week or so.

There are so many young people on here, school is really important around this time of year for many in the northern hemisphere, just prior to break.

Boring is a dirty word. It should be treated like curses and bleeped out on live TV. But if I wasn't able to say the word "boring" without getting dirty looks from mothers holding their children's ears closed, then I wouldn't be able to talk about my life. I think I was born to be that regular old person with a bori- oh, excuse my language!- unpleasantly dull life.

My day begins with a bowl of bland cereal and the news reports. Then it's off to school where I spend the majority of my time rotting at a desk, not talking to a single person because of my social issues. Damn my lack of energy, I always just want to take it easy and not have to get into any kind of... interaction with people. By the time class is over I head home to do my homework. At dinner mother plays her Johnny Cash CD (much to my dismay) and begins to complain about her job. Then I just wait until I get tired and head off to bed.

My enemy, routine ist thy name.

Only I PREFER "boredom" and I long for routine (even a micro-managed schedule) but I'm not disciplined at all.
I've eaten fast food every day this week because my desire to avoid crowds of people has been that great (so I didn't go grocery shopping).

I'm ranting because I took a nap for a couple of hours and I woke up with phlegm clogging my throat. It's a freagin daily annoyance anymore. And strangely, the phlegm gives me monstrous heartburn

But it's not bothering me enough to see a doctor. I googled it and found others who complained of excessive phlegm. For most of them, there was nothing that could be done (or nothing was discovered).
For others, they were able to trace the problem to their ears or another similar source.

I've had this issue for as long as I can remember, but it's getting worse with age. I'm 37 yet I'd swear I'm going deaf. I can't see having had a chronic infection all of my life, but what about something else (excessive fluid build up or something).
I'd start taking daily allergy pills and see if that helps, but I fight too hard to stay awake the way it is

But I AM curious to see if it would make any sort of difference. I'll probably give it a try for a couple of weeks.

I had a lucid last night, or this early morning actually. It was calm, peaceful, the PERFECT CONDITIONS.....PERFECT CONDITIONS for dream stabilization. In fact, it's SO calm, that I even dared myself to call out my subconscious!

But despite this peaceful environment that resembles a neighborhood I go to during breaks from my University, my subconscious doesn't even appear! Like for freaking sake, I even anticipated meeting this entity when I turned my back to hopefully meet him/her/it.

Nothing, just nothing but emptiness. Just an empty but vivid environment. And this was most likely a DILD after I did a WBTB for a few minutes. But nothing, nothing, nothing. So instead of drowning myself in sadness while still retaining decent lucidity, I decide that I should go ahead and find Alyzarin and Kaomea, since the night sky looks really close to our planned shared dreaming location....but NOPE

I freaking WAKE UP, and I'm sure as hell I could've met at least one of them if my mind wasn't so skewed. I hate when I have a stable lucid dream, and it's so quiet to where I do not even NEED to stabilize, I just still have small lingering thoughts that I should wake up.

I'm not going to let this discourage me though, but still, it was the most ideal conditions for me to do something like using a door to teleport to our location, or just appear there in a blink of an eye. Whatever..

The funniest thing happened to me in years. It was so embarrassing when that happened. I had a new change of phone recently because my old phone was too problematic. After sending multiple text messages to a friend thinking it's an old friend, the receiver realised there's something wrong and said "Do you know who I am? I think you got the wrong person. I'm your polytechnic year 1 friend". At that moment I was thinking, "Shit shit shit, who's that, what if it's a person I don't know too well?

Ah the awkward moment when you text the wrong person and strangely managed to sustain a conversation with him/her. Fortunately she's my close friend so everything went well. I should have known when the replies started getting weird but I was too confident of my phone.
