I know!

I absolutely hate it when I try to introduce people to GOOD shows and they say "it sounds boring!" or anything along those lines. Well, the shows they watch bore the hell out of me, the acting is garbage and the production is just as bad. I always go home to find my mom and sister watching those Kardashian shows, and bad comedies!

Goodness, is everyone nowadays being born with one brain cell or something? They can't differentiate between pure marketing embellishment and good products, good and bad television, and they don't understand that movies should not just be viewed because one actor is "hot". That's a lot of my classmates' excuses for watching the Twilight films. Oh, and they have no understanding of money. I know people who steal makeup from their parents and continuously bitch when they don't get something they want, not to mention they always buy Louis Vuitton bags and stuff which are ridiculously expensive. A purse can only get so good; when it gets past the 300-dollar mark or so, that's just getting stupid.

I'm too tired tonight to start another thread. :)

So, Tommo, I looked over that list thoroughly.

Before I say this last thing on the subject, I'd like to mention that my argument was not against the many benefits of marijuana, which I have seen firsthand, but that it was naive to think SMOKING a substance (pot) which delivers particulate matter to the lungs, has absolutely no harmful effects on the body, particularly lung cells.

The vast majority of the links in that list are to pro-marijuana reform groups, and even those links and case studies were rarely on smoked cannabis. The links I found that mentioned lung function, asthma, COPD, and other bronchial effects, were very clear that smoking marijuana can lead to various levels of disfunction in lung cells, impairment of lung function in both short and long-term use, and the potential for cancerous and pre-cancerous growths in lung and oral tissue despite the general inhibition of cancer cells by marijuana. The information I mention can be found on the link page you posted from research institutions, medical journals, and government and non-government health sites.

If you wish, I will retract the source you mentioned from my post. Even doing so, it still leaves plenty of credible sources that back up my statement.

Again, the point of my statements were not to downplay the many thousands (if not more) potential benefits of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids but to argue against the statement that smoking marijuana was completely harmless. My statement is backed up by both pro and anti marijuana researchers the world over.

The poem I've been writing for the last month. Apparently vanished, I incorrectly copied my old hard drive while putting in the new one. Fuck. A bunch of other shit vanished too, but that was the most important.

My complaint is that I was off my computer pretty much all day and now I come back to a ridiculous amount of updated threads and new posts to read. T-T And I'm so tired and so baked.... I'll regret it even more tomorrow when I have even more things to catch up on, but I need to just hit the sack. I know I was in a conversation or two here and there, I'll come back and see if they're still going in the morning. :yawn: Goodnight DV.

I had myself a good cry as I tried to sleep, but the post nasal drip gave me monstrous heartburn so I'm still awake :mad:
I made the mistake of looking up my step-mom on FB. She posted a LOT of pics of dad. He was only about 61 years old but he looked in his 80's. I imagine Cancer killed him. I wish I had been there for him :crying:

The good news is that Minipress no longer makes me feel like passing out when I take it. I took it in bed, as usual, but I gave up on sleep after just 10 minutes and I feel just fine moving around.

I also talked to my mom earlier and she wasn't rude as I had feared. Toward the end of the conversation I asked if she and I were "good". She said yeah. We talked for 20 minutes. I called my brother by accident before calling her and he sounds well.

I can't wait for my p-doc appointment on Wednesday. I'm going to ask him if he wants the good (me working on quitting smoking), the bad (me cutting), the sad (my dad passing), or the weird (my sons transgenderness- weird only because it was so unexpected). I'll actually have something to talk about this week! :roll:

My rant is that I was getting ready to go out tonight, got to finish work early, was just about to leave and thought "I better check the address" so I went on facebook to check the event page thing and I realise it says 18th of Feb. FUCK!!!!!!!........

Well, the weed conversation kind of developed and dropped off so I guess I won't really add too much there. I'll just say this. You can look at the lab tests that those sources talk about and anything you want, but it doesn't outweigh the overwhelming evidence. There are NEVER reports of lung disease from weed. If it was an actual, legitimate concern, we would have figured it out by now. And furthermore, those sources are all based on smoking weed, which not everyone does. A pretty large amount of people eat or vaporize it instead, which totally takes out the 'inhaling smoke' factor.

Removed the files from it because I thought I'd copied them over to the new one (even emptied the recycle bin) but it's still in my computer.

Thanks and, yeah, I was an idiot last night. A guy from my class wanted me to play Minecraft with him. I'd been drinking a bit of cider, planning to get a buzzed, but to build my nerves up I immediately started chugging like 4 bottles and got completely drunk. There was hardly any hangover but I wish I hadn't. I'll probably want to drink again by tonight anyway.

I have been reading everything in this thread and people have my sympathies, I just haven't been responding to it much.

You can use a program like recover my files to get any of your files that were accidently deleted. But you have to do it fairly soon. If you're still up for drinking tonight, I can walk you through it

I hope so because I've been holding off on drinking for it all week! :P

Of course I'm still up for it, I even rejected my parents' invitation out for dinner (which is good because they're still going and it means I don't have to suffer through their questions about why I'm making margaritas when I drank last night).

It's my old hard drive though, which I'm not writing any new files to, so it doesn't need to be done soon, does it? Or am I thinking of this entirely wrong?

The sooner the better. I have the program here, I can just drop it in my dropbox or email it to you. It just takes a while to run.

I really hope you can get you info back, Dianeva. I've lost so many of my creative endeavors that part of me has held on to writers block for so many years out of fear of losing more.

I am having a great day. But in the back of my mind, the Drill Sergeant is yelling at me, asking why I'm so happy when I've just received bad news. It should be disrespectful to feel as happy as I do right now. I tell ole' Sarge to go jump off a bridge :D

It's currently 17 degrees outside but it "feels like 5". So I brought the boys inside. Snuffanuff proceeded to jump out of my sons window (don't ask me why the heck it's open- he's weird). I ignored him and went to the store. Came back and he was happy to go inside, until his dad bolted outside while I juggled with the stuff I carried :bang: I shook the food bag and Snuffanuff came running back. Rocky still isn't back yet. He better not stumble across another trap!

My son's going to be ticked at me when he wakes up. All he asked for were 2 2 liters of soda = $3. and change. But I had to get sausages for the dogs to hold them over until tomorrow. I got myself 2 packs of smokes, a fountain drink, 2 side salads and a single stacker. I did get him a 44 oz fountain drink of Diet 'Dew. He has food. We also have bottled water, so he can suck it up.
The food I bought myself will keep me until tomorrow evening.

I just finished watching 50/50, so much crying. :crying:

I was in a great mood for two seconds after waking up from a nap I just took, because I remembered 6 dreams over the course of last night and that nap. Then I remembered that at bowling today, which my "best friend" and boyfriend both go to with me, my friend wouldn't stop saying things to me like "he's still ugly" and "he's so weird" and stuff like that. It's been happening for a while now and I told her before to stop doing it; her reason was that she "didn't like his personality". Now, it's "because the relationship isn't good". She claims that "he never asks me where or how I am, and doesn't want to know", and things like that. Her boyfriend, on the other hand, are glued to each other and see each other every day, but I have homework and shit to do; I don't have time to see him more than twice a week right now.

I got really depressed halfway through bowling even though I shouldn't have... But I knew it was because (more than anything else) that I was tired from this week, stressed over a fuckload of homework, and I still have to work on a graduation video, graphic designs for grad hoodies, and all this other wonderful stuff on top of that!

I left bowling without saying anything to my boyfriend, and I shouted at my best friend when she became very insistent that our relationship "sucks". I was fine with the way it is, it's not bad - there are different types of relationships, and ours is that we just don't see each other that often because we both have a commitment to school. But I'm starting to think about her comments about how he doesn't really ask how I am and stuff... I don't know... I know I shouldn't be doing that, but...

I was going to see a movie with my BF later tonight, but now I don't have the energy. When I got back from bowling, I took that nap, which lasted 4 hours. ;.;

Now my friend is mad at me, and my BF is probably wondering where I am but I didn't want to text him when I got back, I just slept.

So my turn to gripe, I've had to come home for the weekend because my parents are divorcing and my dad is having an affair and is living with his lover on the same road as our house so my mum is devastated and my two younger sisters are having a hard time dealing with it, and ive spent the whole day comforting them so now i'm drinking a lot ( in case you can't tell from all the hugs) because they're all in bed. But I'm actually feeling Ok since you guys are here :)

I just watched CNN news clips and now I'm humdrum/sad-ish. I watched a bit about how Sows spend their entire lives in 2 foot wide (?) gestational crates. They can't even turn around. If pigs were dogs these factories would be prosecuted. It's no better than a puppy mill IMO.
BUT Hormel IS going to start getting rid of the crates and should be fully transitioned by 2018 :bang:
