For some reason you have been given a lot of slack here, probably because of your particularly duplicitous brand of trolling. You say and do things that are completely inappropriate and then edit out the offenses later or otherwise flip flop on your apparent assholishness and thus people are thrown off and end up letting things slide.

I don't edit anything out, hero.

Be aware that you have passed a threshold and are now far beyond the "you have received a warning" stage of events. If you don't figure out a way to curb your abrasive side while here at DV, you will not be here for much longer.

If I tell you go fuck yourself, will that be a temp ban or permanent?

I haven't tried the double bock unfortunately. I'm a big fan of stouts and porters but they can be a bit much sometimes. You should check out Stone's Imperial Black IPA (they are a cali brewery) it is a stout but has that hoppy bitterness that characterizes IPA's. Everything out of Stone is great as well as New Belgium (who makes Belgo).

I think I have tried everything that we get at WFM from Stone. I love that brewery. Since I do tend to go more toward super hoppy, and super strong (like barley wine style ales), I really liked Stone's Arrogant Bastard hehe. So sorry you have to go so far to your nearest Whole Foods. I admit I'm really lucky to work at one, and get 20% discount on top of that.

Where do you go to get your fancy beers and ales ordinarily, if Whole Foods is so far?

Arrogant Bastard Ale is one of my favorite beers. Barely wines are great, Anchor Steam (another cali brewery) recently came out with their seasonal BW called Old Foghorn Ale. I have a store that is a 30 second walk from my house that has some ok microbrews, I mainly get Arrogant Bastards or Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA's when I drink. On special occasions I make a trip to Whole Foods to get fancy beers like Sixth Glass, Old Rasputin Ale, etc. That is awesome that you work at Whole Foods, I have a friend who works at one as well and he gets pretty good benefits. Also if you like supper hoppy you should check out Hercules Double IPA, I see it there all of the time.

It must vary per person. At times there is nothing I want more than a girlfriend to talk to and understand and stuff but I know that ain't going to happen overnight. It makes me wonder whether it is worth it to try so hard when I see a lot of my peer's drama with their boyfriends girlfriends. However, I won't blame that for lack of intelligence when talking to girls. I really truly don't want one for sex. That doesn't really change anything- I end up coming off as desperate or weird or just dumb. I don't know...

Ok, so I don't know if this belongs here or not, but whatever. I was walking home from school and right in the middle of the sidewalk was a severed chicken head. Yes, the head of a chicken. It's body was laying in the grass nearby. It kind of made me sad. I don't know.

Then when I was walking by the same spot again the next day, I saw the body... But the head was no where to be found. Where could it have gone? Did someone just kick it somewhere? Did a dog grab it? I doubt anyone cleaned it up since the body was still there... It's really bothering me now.

How can some people be so optimistic and happy all the time? I go to school and see all these people who look like they are having fun socializing and stuff. I'm sure they get mad but they just seem to never be in shy, depressed, highly intellectual modes like I get into almost every day. I need to snap out of this shit. It's pissing me off. I'm in a fog half my day. I have no social life. I have no real friends. I have things that I am supposed to do but all I end up doing is things like sitting on DV complaining about my inadequacies. There is a difference between being shy and what I am. I don't know how I got into this cycle of loneliness and solidarity in public, but it needs to stop. I hate it. Isn't that weird? I am a very solitary/boring person who seems to choose not to participate yet I need others more than I thought.

I know I can become an interesting, entertaining and fun person to talk to- I've done it before. I just can't seem to do it. I go out in public and talk to people and stuff and my brain just stops working. I come off as dumb and boring. I don't know if it is a confidence issue, whatever the hell you want to call it, it is really pissing me off these days. I love Old Foghorn. I want to say it's like 15.99 a 6er, but well worth it. I like torpedo too, but at 7 or 8% it's a bit low for me . I have never heard of Hercules Double IPA, I will so incredibly check it out. And while we're on this subject, ever try any of the Flying Dogs? I like Raging Bitch and Double Dog.

Ya Old Foghorn is fairly expensive but you get what you pay for. Torpedo is about 7% ya, do you drink many IPA's which have more ABV? Hercules is good, its the same company that makes the Yeti ale. Yeeeessss!!! I love Flying Dog! Also Ralph Stedman illustrates all of the artwork, its awesome. I used to think that Flying Dog was Hunter S. Thompson's beer company but alas he died awhile ago. I haven't had the Double Dog but Raging Bitch is the one with the dog (.....and the uhh vagina.....) right?

Btw have you ever considered brewing your own beer?

It's possible. I know how you feel.

Just look for the right person to share that with. people are always looking for a person to fit them rather than being accepting and loving despite what another person is. Don't feel pressured. Love is patient, love is tolerant, love is accepting. What many people experience in relationships are not those things. It's because 1. the other person is not living up to their expectations or 2. they think they are not good enough/ self hate. :/

No you're right, the stronger beers I drink these days are not IPAs, but barley wine ales, Leviathan, and the Imperials we talked about. Chicken Killer and Sisyphus are others from Whole Foods I enjoy.

I have, the only issue is, because I make my own cheese, any kind of yeast that you would use, say, in beer, wine, or bread making, can ruin the cheese. But I have alot of friends who brew their own ales and I think it's fantastic! Have you ever thought of it?

Lol ChickenKiller sounds interesting but I'm not so sure it is vegan friendly. Never tried Sisyphus but I am familiar with Albert Camus!

Yes I do believe that it takes a certain kind of yeast (brewers yeast...whatever that means). I have met people who have brewed their own beer but they were into light beers like Hefeweizens and the like......not for me. I'm thinking about it though. I suppose I am somewhat of an alcoholic so I guess it would be a worthy investment lol.

Rant: I took the day off to do math homework and respond to my "thoughts on thoughts on language" thread but instead I spent all day on DV and didn't come up with any content to post in my thread.....

My rant: So the other day I found myself in the shower with a beer in my hand, no joke. I never drink in the shower, sure I will indulge in the occasional glass of wine during a bubble bath, but a beer in the shower? What happened was that I had brought a beer and a fresh razor into the bathroom just prior to a shower.
