This is a common flaw among psychologists, they attempt to treat life like a bunch of buckets and mysteries like a bunch of nails and people like a bunch of math problems. But I don't think that's a flaw in psychology. One must have a respect for the gestalt to be a Scientist. One must realize they are taking one possible avenue through a complex puzzle, they are not taming reality. This is true of all science, behavioral biologists vs molecular geneticists is probably the most interesting. Finally bought some peanut butter, might take an afternoon nap and take two spoonfuls of it to try and see if I can get some REM started, since I've been sleeping at different times lately.
Exams next Tuesday, haven't studied. Might start on Sunday actually to be honest, I mean it's just CRAMMING biology terms and memorizing Chemistry formulas...and with the inevitable curves...what's the biggie? ;o
But I seriously have to remind myself that I need to stop half-assing my freshmen year of college (second semester coming up)...I'm taking MOLECULAR GENETICS as an ELECTIVE.
I remember electives being ART, PHOTOGRAPHY, JOURNALISM!?!? Not freaking molecular genetics...and it's going to be a small size too, like maybe 14 people in that class. It's suppose to be easy, but still it's a freaking sub-unit of Biochemistry in a way (Since Genetics is 95% or more related to Biochemistry).
Crap I might have to double major in Biochemistry and Genetics, because registering for an elective in the university is literally impossible with all of these honors nerds getting per-registration priority...not as if these 4.0 GPA'rs are going to dominate on the job interview.

Major :hug:, Tommo. When I was about 15 years old, I thought my folks were about to really split up and it broke my heart a little.
And then I remembered how miserable they are together :cheeky: They're still married and my mom still threatens to leave him (15 years later!). I don't know how I'd truly feel, though, if they actually went through with it one day.
But there has never been any pretending or putting on appearances for the sake of the kids. They have always been verbally and emotionally abusive toward each other. Unlike your folks who appeared to be okay.

Doing okay so far today. My sleep schedule is all sorts of weird... for several days now, I go to sleep at 8-8:30AM and wake at noon-12:30. Then I go back to sleep from around 6-9PM I still take caffeine pills about once every 4 hours though or I start micro-napping.
I ended up taking 1/2 a hydro last night for my neck/backache. Maybe I have a pinched nerve or something. If this keeps up, I'll have to see a Dr.
When I fell and broke my wrist a couple of years ago, I noticed a spot high at the center of my back that would seize up and pain me. It still hurts from time to time, so perhaps it's all connected.
Who knows lol (a Dr. might :doh: )
I'm also ranting about my bedroom being much too dark. I have one 60 watt bulb at the ceiling but it's simply not putting off enough light. Dimness makes me very cranky and angry. I need to buy some 100 watts tomorrow and screw a few into the vanity that makes my computer desk.
Are you using energy-saver light bulbs? Because they shine so much you'll be blinded.

Screw that - get some compact fluorescents - much lower wattage and just as bright, plus they last forever. Take a few minutes to get up to full brightness, but nice they do they're fine. The new ones are a lot better than the ones they came out with at first that were too dim and reddish. Your pain probably is all connected somehow, and it might be aggravated by the stress you're under. But the neck pain should clear up in another day or two if it's like what I've experienced.Quote:

hehee... I've tried flouresents (sp!) in the past and didn't care for them at all. I might give them another chance though seeing how it has been a while.
I found 2 100 watts and stuck on in the ceiling and one in the vanity and then I saw there were already 2 in the vanity (3 spots on either side of the mirror). The switch has a bad connection or a slight short in it. I jiggled it and now there's so much light in my little room it scares away my children :D
It also produces so much heat I don't have to run my space heater as high :lol:
But those are anti-rants :)
Hmmm... minor rants are: my room is so cluttered it's getting on my last nerve; I still need to buy a dryer cord; I still need to pump up my mattress some.
For now, I need to go hang up my blankets in the bathroom so they'll dry by tonight....

New lightbulbs are making me angry; by about 2015 they are trying to phase out incandescents, which would suck because we had dimmer switches on most of our lights which doesn't work with Fluorescents... And the only fluorescents I would buy anyways would have to have tinted yellow-ish glass; the white light is too harsh for me, I prefer warm lighting. Thankfully some LED models are coming up, but they are expensive replacements... at least until they become wide-spread. TOO MUCH LIGHTBULB CHANGE FOR THIS DECADE!
