My dad's getting up at 3 in the morning to watch it, too...

I heard that some American TV companies were complaining about us having it 'at night'.

Lol at their epic quantities of arrogance and fail.

There are apparently going to be 2 Billion people watching. I find that hard to believe.

Fudged numbers are fudged. 1/3 people on the planet watching? Give me a break. I know my mom wants to watch it though. Eh.

I also heard that number. 1bn is likely, I'd guess; that wouldn't be a record. Two sevenths of the world population is stretching it slightly, and no way will that be the live figure, but who knows.

I'm pretty sure that many people do have access to a TV set.

I'm sure many many people will briefly tune in to see what the big deal is (probably me included). Few will watch the whole thing.

Well, I'd image quite a few hundred million which watch the main bit all the way through... but ya.

I still don't get it though. 1 in 3 people? How many of the people on this planet of 6 billion even have a TV, like living in some village somewhere who probably don't even know what a TV is. Probably a good chunk right there, then there's just people like us who mostly don't care. How many of us people who don't care are there versus those who do? (Trying to make sense out of all this).

They must have exaggerated it knowing that people are willing to follow a large crowd (in this case 2 billion people) and will therefore feel obligated to watch.

I might end up watching like 2 minutes of it just out of curiosity, but I know I would be contributing to the "2 billion"...

Ok, just now I vaguely found out what was going on, so far I have apparently managed to not really read or hear anything about this. Anything like this doesn't interest me in the least. But now a headline on NYTimes Online caught my attention.

Lol. But not so much me. I find it odd that Canada still recognizes having a queen, even if it is more just tradition than having any real effect on our governance beyond the little that the Governor General does.

Ended up watching some of it because my girlfriend wanted to at least see Kate's dress. I mainly browsed the internet as we made fun of the people with those goofy looking hats.

I did not read any of this at all so i dont know where the convo lead too. I just wanna answer da question
