WavePad will let me mix, but I have to find out how to get the timing. I have to save as a file, then rerecord another track and then I can mix it. Hmm. That's a good question. I'm not quite sure how well you can edit the sample position, with Audacity. I use ACID to do that. ACID isn't free, but you might be able to find it somewhere online (bittorrent).

And sorry about the delay. Here are the drum tracks I got off of my synthesizer. They are really basic, but might be of use. They're set at 95 bpm, but I believe you guys can adjust the tempo to whatever suits your projects, using Media Player and Audacity.

Ok, we have had a couple of drop-outs. Slash might be out. Someone else told me in chat that they might not be able to swing it. Can't remember who it was, though.

I haven't done shit yet but if I can decide on a song I'm in. I think I'm just gonna multitrack with my loop pedal and record it off my amp.

Yea, I don't think I'll be able to do it, unless a god touches me on the forehead and gives me some sort of god-like inspiration. It just takes too long for me.

Actually quite pleased with it so far. I hope I can get the rhythm track recorded tonight, then practice the lead part till my fingers blister and bleed, then record that

Last time this was done, you can remake the song how you like as long as the melody was intact/ song was recognizable. Otherwise, go crazy

it's pretty much shit but I figured I'd at least submit a song. Next time ill take longer and record sections without mistakes lol. Now i just need to wait over 9000 hours for it to upload to youtube.

How do you not get the hiss? Mine records with a hiss, so I have to edit it out

Idk I've never experience hiss. My setup is a schecter c-1 hellraiser FR with Seymour Duncan AHB-1 blackouts in it. I recorded straight to garage band from my peavy vypyr tube 60. Are you playing straight into your computer or using a mic to record?

I think it's coming from the amp. This is my set up
Guitar> amp input> amp headphone jack> computer mic jack with 1/4 to 1/8 adapter

Had some minor timing issues toward the end that were easy to fix. Had a few mistakes, 2 of them worked out perfectly and can't even tell, lol. I'm not used to playing individual strings often, so I don't have the muscle memory as to where my strings are, especially when notes go from the 1st string to the 4th. Anyway, uploading it now

Sorry, but I have no idea.

If you are using Audacity, the quality is not 100%. You might just have to deal with the hiss. It could be a number of things, though. The hiss could be coming from your guitar/amp setup, or your amp/PC setup. I really don't know.

It might be hard to incorporate bass, just because all of the other entries would be so much different, but if it works, then you are more than welcome to join!

God damn it. Is there any way I can have until aftermidnight, unless someone wants to do me a big favor and mix and upload mine for me. My computer broke a few weeks ago, everything was deleted so I now I don't have audacity and my dad set the computer up so that I need his password to install anything.

If anyone feels like it it'd be easy enough to mix, I just want the 2 tracks lined up so after the melody is played once the counterpoint part is played(rockin some good ol' JS Bach) and the extra note cut off the end of the first. Does anyone know of any other way to mix with vista?

Yah, it failed to upload. Wonder if coz it was a .wav format, though YT should be able to load it. I'm redoing it in Windows Movie Maker... hmm... to put in pics, or not to put in pics...
