      Addiction Addict

Basically, What are you addicted too?

This can be anything from microwave popcorn to crack, but it has to be something that you cannot go a day without.

      My addictions are:

      1. Asian women

      2. Billiards

Online Poker is slowly becoming a new addiction of mine...but it's still too early too categorize it as so.

The internet. Cable goes out while I am trying to do stuff and I get really mad. Once my hard drive died on me and it took like 2 week to get a new one. 2 weeks isn't that long but I was so bored, and I didn't know what to do.

I bet I am not the only one who uses the internet, everyday though.

      online gambling...bad idea...

      things i am addicted to:

caffeine: longest i was off it was three weeks, then i got knackered, and i'm back on it again.
Music: i get depressed if i don't hear music.
Work: it just gives me a buzz.
Reading: i'm an escapist, which is why i love dreaming so much, so maybe i'm addicted to that as well.

caffeine (24 ounces of coffee every morning isn't that bad, right? )
      adrenaline rushes
attainment of arbitrary measures of success and achievment (i.e. grades)
books, both non-fiction and fiction (but not crappy fiction)
      broadband internet
      severe weather

Hmm, at least that list is eclectic...

the internet is definately an addiction of mine...I get all stressed out when I can't chat on msn with my friends or visit DV or other sites I love.

Incubus has evolved into more than my favorite band, and kind of into a great addiction of mine. Recently I am downloading bootleg videos and mp3s of all their concerts...they are songs I own and have heard thousands of times, but I am now downloading several alternate live versions for each. So I actually I own a particular song about 7 times...which doesn't seem to make much sense

Thinking. Seriously...I can't go a single day without philosophizing about my life and all of the mysteries of this universe. I love/hate it, and if has brought me so much more trouble than the good it has caused (which outside of how it has developed my way of looking and experiencing this world would probably be absolutely nothing). Nonetheless I can't stop...no matter how hard I try, how many times I try to distract myself once I realize I started. I'm pretty sure it will be my bane, but I guess I have grown to accept that...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

      Yup, yup...

Also, and even more importantly in my case, J-POP: I listen to it constantly, whether from my Lappy or my CD player. I listen to it when writing and/or reading papers, articles, editorials, rants, posts, poems; when I'm in chat or just sitting there waiting for AdAware and SpyBot to finish. In fact, I don't think I can go for more than AN HOUR without it, let alone a day.

Also, in addition to the internet in general, also DreamViews specifically -- it's the first and last website I go to every day. That's why I go so insane when it goes down or glitches in some manner. O.<

hmmm well then. Where to start.

Music. Yeah, same as everyone else I guess. I also can't hold out for long without a guitar, bongo drum, harmonica or some other means by which to create music.

Writing. It's the same as listening to music. I worked out the other day that on average I write about 6,000 words a day... on my novel and on the net etc.

Thinking. Yeah nice one. I mean that everyday I have a time when I just sit in a chair outside in the sun and just think about things - life, the world etc. I always come up with awesome ideas that I forget cuz I got a really bad memory.

The internet. I don't know what you people are whinging about... u guys live in llike cities and stuff... u can get around and see ur friends and do things, I'm out in the sticks. I went to boarding school. My closest mate is 3 hours drive away. The closest town is an hour away... there are no parties to go to, nothing at all. I NEED THE INTERNET!!!
lol, but even then I can go a few days without it. Maybe...

Um that's about it. I've kinda been a semi-alcaholic for a fair while too, which is something that I know is going to creep up on me later in life... and I used to smoke too, but not for now I guess.
