Thread: Working on a DV game

It's a side scroller with Mario-like controls. Similar plot to Mario: The Evil Alex has captured the Cupcake Princess and only a Ninja can rescue her. There may be other members scattered about too Let me know if you want to be a boss or something.

All the frills are there, powerup mushrooms, flying powers, swimming levels, ice levels, gold coins, ghost houses, castles. Plus some new additions to make it more unique including outer space levels, swimming through sap, psychedelic mushrooms, and various weapons.

Here is a screenshot. These graphics were lifted from the web and just filler (I'm working on the engine right now, not the graphics,) the final game will look a little different. I could use a hand with the pixel art if anyone wants to help.



I expect to have a beta release in January and the final version in March 2011. That'll go faster if people volunteer to do graphics or level design.
