Hey I was wondering how to post a picture to a thread so it shows up rather than showing a link like this?

I have no idea, that's what I was wondering.. I think that's the only way...
That or you could just put the picture in your sig temporarily.. if it's saved on your computer that is..
What.
To get the picture to show you have to link it to a website.. I think he/she's asking how you do it a different way.. That's what I think anyway..
:?
That picture is showing perfectly. I don't see the problem.
I dunno, Confused..
You know the stuff above the reply box? It has the letter "A", a smiley, and stuff. There's an image that is a box with a tree in it. Click that and put the URL in the bar and click "ok"
Or put the (IMG)(/IMG) tags, but use the [] instead of ()

Sorry it didnt work the first time I tried it :P um also is there a way to post a pic from your computer or do you have to upload it to a photo site first?
Technically you could set up a webserver and FTP server and link pictures straight off your computer, though you should just stick to using imagehosts, like imageshack and photobucket.
ok cool thanx, would really be easier if you could just upload them a. All good though
Just use filesmelt or imageshack to upload pictures from your computer.
Or upload an attachment to DV.
When posting, go to "Manage attachments" and then upload one, and it will be added to your post.
Like in this post.
Oh great thanx a lot slash thats exactly what I wanted. Cheers!!
The downside is that unregistered users can't actually view the pictures. Can be a little annoying I think.
Sometimes I like showing threads to my friends, I doubt they would want to register just for that.
The time it'd take for you to open imageshack and upload and copy the URL would be the same as going to Advanced posting, uploading the photo and typing "asdf" and clicking submit. SO if you can't do the latter, don't post
Well, I'm just pulling your leg, but really. Think about being lazy before claiming you're lazy next time. DOn't need a bunch of lazy-posers all up in here! :D
