Please read my posts again.. Oh god here I go again...
Spartiate asked a question.. I answered...
Xei, you then made a point and I simply replied...
I never once actually said something that needed a person to retort... Both of those posts were directed at me and that's why I replied..
I like most people suffer from pride, and so chose to reply to the post that was directed because I knew that most people would think of me in this way, as Spartiate so accurately described it:
"Exactly, I love how some who hold an irrational theory will beg not to be debated or challenged... If your beliefs made sense, they wouldn't be hard at all to debate."..
If I had simply stated I'd appreciate it if nobody discussed this any further than me, I would probably seem exactly like the person that Spartiate described in his post.. So, I have a sense of pride.. Sue me..
But, even after this.. I understood that you two would probably feel the same way.. THAT'S why I asked so nicely.. So even if you didn't reply, people would GET why...
A hit and run would be a GREAT analogy.. if I was the one who actually targeted a point at someone in the first place...
At this point you might be thinking that my retort simply deserved a retort aswell.. EXACTLY.. THIS is why I nicely asked if we ended the topic...
If you really wanted to carry on this discussion, it could've been retort after retort after retort.. Ergo, my reason for stopping anyone discussing this with me in the first place..
"then just don't post in the thread".. I hate the fact that people make the purpose of threads like this solely for arguments.. I just wanted to state my opinion, If knew that there were people that can't stand just looking at an opinion and respecting it.. I wouldn't of done it in the first place..

No offence, but if you didn't want to argue, yet you had perfect counter points against the person that made a point to BEGIN with.. AND you realised that quite a lot of people have Spartiate opinion on Debates.. Would you really not return a point... Would you REALLY want to seem like someone who can't make make a point against it, while you know you have a retort but it just goes against the fact that you don't want to argue about that subject? Would you?
If wanting to keep your dignity and not being humiliated is being immature.. I'm afraid, I'm as immature as you can get..

But yeah. It's a bit like ending an argument with 'you're wrong!' and then putting your fingers in your ears and shouting 'lalalala!'.
A BIT like.. It was nothing like ending an argument that way... It was simply like: ME stating an opinion.. You looking at that opinion and thinking it's reason to debate.. THEN me making a respectable retort and NICELY asking that I would appreciate it, if we stopped...
Notice that "LALALALA" and "YOUR WRONG" is not exactly a great substitute.. For someone making a point and basically saying "Please"..
Slightly ironic that I'm forcing myself to do the one thing I didn't want to do.. It always ends out this way,
