Thread: Thanks dreamviews! Just starting to practice.

I have had a few lucid dreams in the past. I wasted those because I just got confused and woke up. I've always been a vivid dreamer and have pretty good recall. After reading the Guide on this site I decided to explore things a bit more. I decide to start a dream journal just to get started. I put a notebook and pen on my night stand and even setup my cellphone for easy voice-recording. While in bed I concentrate on "wake up and record the dream". I begin to dream and i'm moving from one nonsensical situation to another. Suddenly I become lucid, and the first thing thing I do is reach into my pocket and pull out my cell-phone to start making notes to record the dream, while I'm still in the dream! Of coarse that's when I notice that there are people outside the door making a ruckus. I told myself, "I need a weapon, I reach into a nearby bail of hay and pull out my Sais. I'm pretty certain I lost lucidity after that, and the dream ended as a nightmare but I did seem to have some control, I picked the most effective weapon I normally have on hand and was able to instantly produce it. This is exciting stuff and I look forward to practicing more!
