      Hello fellow dreamers!

Hello all! I have been interested in dreams since childhood. However, back then it was more of a trap rather than a blessing. I believe I have had lucid dreams as a child, but i was always worried with getting out and not suffocating.

Now, I am getting back into the dream scene. As of the last three days, I have been keeping a dream journal. As I don't have enough money for a voice recorder, I have been using my Flip to record my voice, and then I would transcribe them later on in the morning. I have found out through my journal that I am going through 2-3 REM cycles per night, and I am not waking up in between them. So, I remember small fragments of the first dream, a good portion of the second, and for some reason, small bits of the last one.

So in order to record my dreams to my fullest ability, I'm guessing I need to train myself to wake up in the rem cycle.

So, is there anything I can learn? Any advice? When it comes right down to it, I don't know squat. I am sort of going into this to get lucid, but also to get more ideas for my book. Dreams are full of ideas after all, it is my brain. Also, I feel as though I need to flesh out my characters, so I would love to have a conversation any one with them.

      Love and peace!

      Welcome MythicVoid-nice username!

Yeah, sometimes when you're a kid you get so many nightmares that it just gets freaky...Or you think the worst is going to happen, so then it does . That's awesome that you want to write a book about dreaming! Do you have any ideas yet? Is it going to be a LD?

My advice is to RC, and look at some of the techniques and other tutorials. They are their own section in the forums. Link: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25
Also, try to be aware where you are and how you got there. This can transfer to your dreams and get you a lucid! After getting a few lucids, you'll find that getting more is much easier! When you do get some, you'll start to feel a dream "aura" that also will help you get more lucids. It's the feeling you get when you're in a lucid...You'll understand when you get some LD's!
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.

Thanks! I have come up with characters over here in the real world, but I believe my subconscious still has some things hidden from me about them. And as I already have a good idea about who they are and what they look like, I would love to sit down with them and have a chat to fill in the little details.

Thanks for the advise about RCing. Apparently counting your fingers after going through a doorway is very effective, so I have to try it.

That's a great idea, to start a book, then talk with your characters! Sometimes, your subconsious can think of things your consious wouldn't, and can be VERY creative!
