Hey there!
I had become interested in lucid dreaming quite a while ago, but for some reason had never really picked it up. For seemingly no reason at all, I Googled lucid dreaming and, once again, stumbled upon this site. After two days of reading and learning, I decided to join!
A few things about myself.
I am fifteen years old. I am fairly good with recalling dreams, I can usually remember my dreams every morning, which is nice. It's fairly rare that I wake up in the mornings remembering nothing.
And I've always been quite fascinated by subjects like this, I enjoy researching and trying them out, and when I saw how active these forums are, I was thrilled. I always seem to finds sites that have died out, which makes me sad.
Anyway, last night I decided to give it a go, telling myself "I will perform a reality check and find out I am dreaming." constantly, repeating it in my head until I drifted off. I was still somewhat conscious, but I appeared to be in a state of limbo. Neither awake or dreaming, it was weird. I felt as if floating, but I suddenly jerked awake. Is this normal? Also, are there any tips you might have?
As a bit of side information, the reality checks I perform are pinching my nose and attempting to breathe through it, and looking at my hand. Are there any others I might want to try?
Thanks in advance!
