Dreaming that you are lucid dreaming?

Is it possible the have a non-lucid dream that you are lucid dreaming?

I'm sure it's possible... Most likely from third person view or something.

It happens a lot. Most novice people mistake them for fully lucid dreams.
Also, another common thing is dreaming that you woke up from a lucid dream and are telling your friends about it. Another is dreaming that someone is trying to teach you about lucid dreaming in a classroom or workshop.

Its happend to me a few times. In these dreams, my control is terrible.
Some argue that if you were dreaming about lucid dreaming, you would be lucid because you are aware you are asleep anyway. But as mentioned above, often these dreams are 3rd person and you simply aren't thinking about it.

Yeah, it happens. It's happened to me a few annoying times. I always like to go back to this description:

However, I believe I know what you're talking about. It's difficult to describe for many, but I've discussed it on here many times before.

Your dream self 'knows' your dreaming, your Id. You, your ego, does not. Its like observing your dream self say "I'm dreaming right now" but not actually becoming conscious of that fact. Merely words.

Thank you everyone. I think I did have one of these, but the 2 I did have definetly seemed genuine, it's a feeling and experience that I'll never forget.
