      Does this count as lucid?!?

Well, I'm new here, and I joined because I just had a lucid dream! ... I think...
What happened was, I was talking to a government official bureacratic type guy in my house, when I realized I was dreaming, so I thought "ok, better go log this in my DJ"... But then I realized that I was aware that I was dreaming. I could feel the sheets, but I made my self go up on top of a cliff and once I started flying, I got involved in the dream again.
Is this a lucid dream? I've been trying off and on for two years, so I really hope so... Any insight would be greatly appreciated
      Thanks!

First of all, welcome to Dreamviews!

Yes, that was definitely a lucid dream.

To stabilize your LD and become lucid, one of the things you can do is to do a RC (Reality Check - Tutorial here.)

      Sweet Dreaming!

Welcome and congratulations on your first lucid dream! You definately were lucid, because you were aware you were dreaming. You also seemed to take control of your dream so that's a great effort for your first lucid!
Do you mean you could feel the sheets around you, like you could feel your body in bed? Because this has happened to me a few time and I've learned that a great way to pull yourself back into the dream and stablise it is to rub your hands together or to touch everything around you and take it all in.
      Hope this helps

heh yeah thats most def a lucid dream good work.
thats extremely common, especially for people new to lucid dreaming. the best strategy is to just relax when you are in the dream. try to stabilize your environment by rubbing your hands together, or turning around in a circle. it also helps to do a reality check as was mentioned above. good luck and congrats on the lucid
