Just saying hello
Hi.
I have always had vivid dreams, sometimes lucid dreams, all my life. I have always had a strong interest in my dreams, they tell me a lot about myself, and if I have a really interesting one I just cannot for the life of me let it go, I have to dissect it.
There are so many that I even vividly remember from childhood and I still remember the feeling of the places I saw, the atmosphere, the emotions I felt, some of which are entirely alien compared with anything I've experienced in waking life.
To me, dreaming is part of reality, it's part of life. Many people I speak to in real life just can't appreciate that, either because they don't dream much or because they think dreams are meaningless nonsense. I have annoyed quite a few people by talking about what I did in dreams in the same way I talk about, say for example, what I ate for lunch that day. They also think I think about it too much, but as long as I have a good life in this reality, what's wrong with having a good dream life too?
Hoping to meet some more like-minded people here. :)
Oh, I forgot to add, I am still much a student of lucid dreaming and have a very, very long way to go before achieving a more controlled lucid dreaming state.

Welcome! It's great to have you! I see you are a natural, that is very nice!
Well you picked the right choice in coming here, because a lot of people here (if not all) appreciate dreams the same way you.
I would suggest looking at the Tutorial section if you haven't already. There is some of the greatest induction techniques in there, and they aren't hard, as long a you're devoted.
Also, it would be a good idea to keep a dream journal. If you don't know what that is, it's basically just a journal where you put your dreams! What it does, is help your recall improve, so you can remember your dreams. It's good that you have good recall already, but there is always room for improvement!
Enjoy your stay, and have a great time!

Thank you, I will check out the tutorials.
I have always struggled with keeping a dream journal. I am such a light sleeper, that if I wake myself up enough to even quickly jot down a dream, it takes me hours to get back to sleep. Lack of sleep from waking up so much during the night or not being able to stay asleep when I fall asleep has always been a problem for me so I avoid that. Best is when I dream in the morning, so then I'm going to be getting up anyway.
Thanks for the welcome and advice. I will see how I can get around to keeping a dream journal, maybe find a way to fall asleep easier.
