Well you came to the right place. Welcome to the Community

You can start building your dream recall by keeping what's called a DreamJournal. Just write in it like a normal journal, but you are writing any dreams that you remember. Also simply stating before going to sleep "I will remember my dreams when I wake up" helps. Just remember that everyone dreams. Those who say they don't simply don't remember them.

If you wake up naturally (no alarm clock), this also helps you remember dreams easier. You have to remember to wake up and not move. Reason being is because everything outside your mind is craving your attention, and the slighest bit of movement can negatively affect your dream recall. So just lay there, don't move, and think about what you were just dreaming about.

If you still can't remember, think about the mood you are currently in. If you are feeling a little energetic, you may have just woken up from a good dream.

It is possible to go back into the world which you had. This would take more work though. Sounds like you already had this though.

      I hope this helps.
