Thread: Hey just a Lucid dreaming noob question!:

Ok well I was wondering. How long do you think it should take for me to lucid dream? Like I've been trying for likea month (and ill admit this last week or 2 i havnt been trying as hard) but like is it normal to take a whole month to get this thing down? whats the latest i should wait before giving up and maybe trying a differnt strategy with this stuff??

Oh, the time it takes any one person to have a lucid dream varies greatly. It can take anywhere from three days to three years (though most don't go on quite that long without results). As long as you keep putting in effort, you can expect results in the (hopefully) not too distant future.

Lol kay yeh theres no way I'm doing this for 3 years :/

I do however like righting my dreams down (which is what i hated MOST when i started this because it seems stupid and involves actual work kinda lol) because some dreams i have i would have later forget and im like wow thats actually a realy good dream and stuff

Thing is that we are all different I think that having the desire to have lucid dream is very important

Its something that you develop all i can say is have a good read in the tutorials this will help you understand what its all about also it describe different methods of LDing

keep a dream journal too as this wll help you in the future

you have to do your own Maths in the subject however, it is possible for anyone to have Lucid Dreams.

So go for it don't give up ,keep at it as it will come,

I've been LDing for almost a year now. I've had 3 LD's, but they were al in the first two-three months, because I've stopped with it for a while, can't remember why. But since a week or so I wan't to pick it up again. Getting my dream recall back (used to remember 3 dreams a night, now 3 a week or something), but that is hard, because a lot of the times I wake up I'm to tired, or not willing enough, to spent 15 minutes on writing down a dream...

Using the tutorial section I like to check out a number of different techniques which either aid each other, or can be used if one fails.

Like, I usually wake up in the middle of the night after a dream, so I'm going to try and use this to my advantage to attempt a FILD/DEILD kind of combo, and if that doesn't work I'll go for a WBTB WILD (but I don't like staying up too long, but writing down a vivid dream, after staying still in bed for a while to remember it all, I'll be up for quite a while).

And if all the above fails, I hope for a DILD (I practice RCs during the day). Haven't had a lucid dream yet, but I'm making progress in a number of ways.
