Unusual Lucidity, anyone else?
Hey people. How is everyone doing?
Iv joined up here because i havent read anywhere from google searches any accounts that are similar to mine when it comes to lucidity and i wanted to discuss it.
I managed to get very Lucid last night in a quite controlled manner. But the same as almost everytime i do, i lose control of the 'dream' and end up trapped in my body, with my conscious mind very awake but unable to move. Its very hard to describe.
Unlike other accounts that i have read, i dont fall asleep - start to dream - become aware - take control. The way i experience it is very different. I will be falling asleep and occasionally i will feel myself 'falling' in an out of consciousness, when i say feel i literally mean feel (this falling is commonly accompanied by a sound, like a song stuck in my head or just plain static this sound becomes extremely vivid and out of my control during a 'fall'). It comes as a shock, and 99% of the time this shock will wake me back up.
This process continues in a way that i compare to a bouncy ball. While awake and conscious the ball is being held, when i fall straight to sleep, the ball is gently placed on the floor so i know nothing about it. But when i attain lucidity it seems as though the ball is dropped. Every time i fall asleep the ball hits the floor and wakes me up from the shock, but each time it bounces it gets lower and lower until im fully aware that my body is falling asleep but i am not.
Once in this state i can use my imagination to form whatever images i choose, but only for a very limited period of time. I quickly become aware of my unconscious body and its apparent paralysis. This leads me to struggle to wake up. In this state i physically cannot wake my body up, any attempt to move or make any noise has no effect in the physical world. The one thing i appear (and i dont know for sure) to be able to control is my breathing.
Eventually i do wake myself up but often slip back into unwanted lucidity 2 or 3 times before i manage to fall into a restful sleep.
From what i have said here can anyone on here relate to my experiences or give me some pointers to wake my body from this state?
I have spoken to many people about it, but noone has given me any insight as to how to make the experience more enjoyable yet.
Thanks in advance and i hope you enjoyed the read
