Im on concerta for my adhd, and however, when i try to take naps during the day, even melatonin cannot keep my eyes shut for an hour, even if it can, i lay there for an hour trying to get to sleep, just like i do at night, and i am not even one bit more tired! what do i do???
Why are you trying to nap when you are not tired?
because, i am tired. but, i dont get tireder, nor do i ever fall asleep.
You could try getting more sleep at night...
But i already get enough, i just wanna ld during the day.
Well then, you could try getting less sleep at night so you'll be more tired during the day so you can nap. =P
Yes I'd say it is your medication and you will probably have to give up napping during the day. I know, it sucks. I used to nap everyday and spend a few hours in and out of LDs, but when I started taking adderall (another ADD medication though I don't know how similar/different it is to concerta)...I was no longer able to nap during the day. And even if I managed to somehow fall asleep I would never become lucid the way I used to. I've taken adderall for about 4 years on and off now and even though I've become used to its effects it is still very rare that I nap/LD during the day. However if I don't take my medication for a few days, the day naps/LDs usually come back.
