It seems to me you're in a state of sleeping consciousness. I tend to go into this state a lot in crowded situations, such as sleeping on a bus. Your body falls asleep, but your sensory perception stays open, and you can think. In my case, I could even hear what people were saying.
I haven't found a way to solve this yet, however, here are a couple of things you could try:
1) Calm down. You seem to be getting over-excited, and that won't do anything to help you sleep.
2) Try not to think too hard about it. It seems your mind is still over-aware.

Just so you know, WILDs are inhibited by run-on sentences.

He speaks truth. It also helps to use proper grammar and punctuation/ capitalization.

I'm used to texting and msn talk. I''m trying to stop,it will just take a few days i hope.:P thanks for the help though.

I personally can't WILD. I'm just too busy of a guy. I begin to worry about swallowing, and then I need to swallow... there's always something that will keep me awake. I just stick to WBTBs.

Try casually focusing more on your breathing and the darkness behind your eyelids. Don't let your mind wander too much or you'll fall asleep completely, and don't focus too hard or you'll just stay awake like you did. Your body wasn't yet asleep. You'll know when it is when you experience sleep paralysis (trust me, you'll know). Even if you're one of those people who doesn't experience sleep paralysis, you will definitely be able to tell when your body is asleep completely. It's a very noticeable feeling.
It's hard to explain, but the type of focus that goes into WILDing is pretty laid-back. Like you are sort of sneaking up on the process - you lay around and pretend you're just falling asleep, and then BAM! when your body falls asleep, you're there and ready.
Also, don't worry if you move a bit. Some people change position multiple times and can WILD in 20 minutes. It helps if you're comfortable as your body will fall asleep faster if there is less tension and pressure. Personally I can go either way. I've stayed still and had a WILD and I've moved around as well. WBTB also helps because if you wake up after a few hours of sleep, you're already far into your sleep cycle (closer to REM, the stage where we dream the most vividly), and falling back asleep will be easier.

So i should try to WBTB WILD?
-
Yes, WBTB coupled with a WILD is much, much more effective and successful.
However, if during the day you're tired and wish to take a nap, that is also a good time to try and WILD.
I've heard that during day naps we don't produce as much melatonin so we don't sleep as deeply, allowing for awareness in dreams to be more attainable. I don't think this has been scientifically proven, but just from experience it seems to be true.
