      Semi Lucid

Well, I guess I could say this is exciting news. Last night, I had a dream, and without doing a reality check or anything, I simply became half lucid. I wouldn't say this is my first lucid, but I would say I am getting closer. I was on some sort of bridge, and I thought it would be a good idea to jump off. When I hit the ground, I wanted to fly. I tried, and tried, but I couldn't, so I imagined a flying pill being in my pocket and it worked. I was hovering for about 3 seconds, when the dream changed scene and I lost my hazy half lucidity.

      :\
I dislike the idea of 'half-lucidity'. I really really dislike it.
If you knew you were dreaming, you were lucid. If not, you weren't.

But congrats on the cool dream, anyways.

In one of my dreams I remember that I had a criminal path in front of me and a chance to make a dicision to go that way or not. Then I became LUCID ! I knew that I was in a dream so I decided to go along the path of which I would never choose in real life

      ...So that counts as LD?

Yup. You knew you were dreaming.

Well, did you realise that you were dreaming? If you didnt, you werent lucid. If you did, then you were lucid. There is no other level of lucidity, as no-Name said. Saying you were kinda lucid is like adding a "2", or a "0.5" to a binary number when there should only be "1"s and "0"s. You know? It's either on or off.

people say: oh shit, here comes Mariano, everybody down!

yes, there are levels of lucidity.
for me there are only 4.

Non-Lucid = you don't know you are dreaming
Pre-Lucid = in the dream you say " oh yeah, this is a dream" (you get a moment of clarity, not lucidity) but you don't become lucid
Semi-Lucid = you become half-aware that you are dreaming, you know you are dreaming, but you are still in Auto-Pilot(doing things unconsciously like in a non-lucid), so we say that you know you are dreaming in a subconscious level
Lucid = you know you are dreaming, you are aware of it, and you are not in auto-pilot

very simple, as you can see

Your "pre-lucid" is the exact same "level" of lucidity as non-lucid. You are not aware that you are dreaming.

and your "semi-lucid" is, as I read it, the exact same "level"of lucidity as being lucid. Control has fuck-all to do with lucidity.

For once, I agree with Slash.
Please stop posting your false information, there is no such thing as a 'false lucid', 'semi lucid', or anything else like that. Stop over complicating things.

nobody is complicating things, you just are completely blind.
pre-lucid means that you was near of becoming aware.
      I NEVER taught about control.
      it's not false information.

      here we go again..

A pre-lucid dream is one in which the dreamer considers the question, "Am I asleep and dreaming?" The dreamer may or may not come to the correct conclusion. Such experiences are liable to occur to people who are deliberately cultivating lucid dreams, but may also occur spontaneously to those with no prior intention to achieve lucidity in dreams. (wikipedia)

      Semi-Lucid Dream:
a dream in where you become aware that you are dreaming to a subconcious level, but you are not completely aware.
you will act in auto-pilot mode, like a non-lucid dream. this means: you will fly for example, unconsciously, or you will say "this is a lucid dream", again unconscously, but the most important thing is ....YOU STILL BEING UNCONSCIOUS....but the feeling of the dream is different, now that you are half-there. in other words, your mind struggle to become more aware, like in Real Life, but fails, and only gets to the middle of the path.

Lucid Dream: you aware that you are dreaming, you are complete conscious and you are not on auto-pilot anymore, you will be in the present moment.

for example, if you are preparing to stabilize after you become lucid...in a lucid dream, you will do it(if you remember of course)
but in a semi-lucid dream you won't even have the chance to remember, because you are not conscious yet.

      it's not that hard.

The only problem with both you is that you never experienced this, so you can't understand it....but, it's not necessary to experience it.
