I'm much like Julia and Gemetria. It often takes me 30 minutes to an hour and a half to fall asleep. I also constantly think. It's one of my few quiet times. However, I'm a natural Ld'er. I'm not sure if it's because of this that I have problems WILD'ing. If you find this is a case, work on dream recall, reality checking, and auto-suggestion. Most of my lucids are simple DILD's. I kind of like these because they're a nice little surprise. Then DEILD. It's a form of WILD, but you do it instantaneously after waking up. It's possible to chain 3 or 4 of these in a row. And then, (when I was still in the habit of doing an RC after I woke up) I would catch probably one FA every couple of days to a week.
Long story short, you should have no problem, but some methods may not work for you. Induction is like every other aspect of lucid dreaming. You just have to find your best technique.
Also, welcome to the sight. It's nice to see someone my age who doznt talk lik ths. or saiz lulz allot.
EDIT: Gemetria, I love your signature. Mudvayne is awesome.
