K, so heard about lucid dreaming a few days ago. I attempted to MILD last night. My dreams usually feel pretty hazy, like i'm not even there. I don't get why this happens, and i'm pretty sure I can't become lucid in these dreams. But what do I know? Anyone want to reassure me? Anyone?

heh, no. i tried doing MILD before bed. I meditated for 30 mins after reading a book for an hour, cleared my head, then chanted my mantra until i fell into sleep. but it didnt work. i did recall my dream, i just didnt become lucid. I dont think a WBTB would ever be possible for me. I am probably the heaviest sleeper in the entire state. thats why i dont think i will ever experience a lucid dream. :blue: also, when i was chanting the suggestion, my eyes were closed, and it felt like my vision was whirring around in a strange pattern, i felt dizzy. is this normal?Quote:

Lucid Dreaming takes time and patience, It's very rare that it comes over night. Work on your Dream Journal, do Reality Checks through out the day... The sensation you were feeling about being dizzy may have been due to SP (that's if you had been laying still without moving for a while) but if you were moving, I am not sure what that could be..

welcome to dream views charmine! Like Spirit of the wolf said if you think you wont have lucid dreams you probably wont. I believe that the most important part after keeping a dream journal is to know that lucid dreaming is an easy thing to do. If you think it is easy it will be.

Well, you're a beginner, for starters. Patience is key (it could take weeks or months before your first lucid dream). There's a whole mess of things you'll need to learn and do before you start recognizing what you need to look out for before a MILD.
First, is to boost your recall. If you haven't already, start keeping a dream journal. Recall begets recall, and eventually your dreams will grow from hazy third person movies and into interactive realism rich with detail. It can be argued, however, that the reason you dream passively is because you live passively (question everything).
Any questions on MILD? What happened in the dream before you attempted it?

Hello hamsin, I suggest that you make a post of this in the beyond dreaming section of the forum, you will defiantly get a lot more replies there. Also there is an edit button that allows you to edit a post after you posted it so if you make a mistake you can fix it, that way you don't need to double post :DQuote:

Also dont post the same thing over and over again, it can be considered spam. What your doing can get you into some trouble.
You should try setting an alarm clock or so, to wake you up somewhere 4-6 hours after you start to sleep (you have to see what works best for you). This will make sure that you can do WBTB and also, it works wonders for your dream recall. Just focus, before you go to sleep, on the fact that at the second you wake from the alarm, you will recall your dreams.Quote:
