      Practice, it depends on how you're looking at yourself in the first place;
      ie. third person, omniscient, a static camera or looking in a mirror.
      Once you've established that, you can warp into almost anything you feel.
      I've heard it takes quite some experience though!

      actually, almost everything is possible in a lucid dream.

      The evening hangs beneath the moon, a silver thread on darkened dune.
      With closing eyes and resting head; I know that sleep is coming soon.

      Upon my pillow, safe in bed,
      A thousand pictures fill my head,

      I cannot sleep , my mids aflight;
      and yet my limbs seems made of lead.

      Have you seen this month's Task Of The Month?

      Report back in this thread, even if you didn't successfully accomplish the task, your efforts should make interesting reading! This is required in order to get credit, it is no longer sufficient just to say that you did it.

      Whoever completes either of these tasks gets the following goodies until the end of the month:

      * Your name will be displayed in ORANGE in the online members list at the bottom of the main forum page.
      * You will receive a special title and badge.
      * You will receive access to the "Lucid Task Club" which is a limited access forum for people that complete the lucid task each month.

      Tasks for this month:

      Basic Task - Give a flower to a Dream Character

      Advanced Task - Turn into a mythical creature
      Some people have already turned into some crazy stuff! Give it a try

      Yes, you can.

      It seems like lately I've been doing more dream shape-shifting than I've really enjoyed. Mostly the Mystique variety, but occasionally non-humanoid forms*, and sometimes complete invisibility. If I can do it, you probably could too.

      * small woodland creature, for the purpose of fooling hostile soldiers resistant to my dream control.
      * 15 foot tall reptilian creature resembling a duck-bill dinosaur, which allowed me to run at almost 40 mph, except I woke up with a pretty real back ache.

      That's damned interesting actually.
      I find staying the same is much funner, I'd rather warp everything else besides me. I know it can be done though, so many stories, *sigh*

      Thank you

      I agree with your sig, it's much better to be friends with dream characters. Even when they aren't so friendly, I wouldn't want to be mean to them. That's why I thought of shape-shifting as a solution for the rare occasions when their intentions become personally threatening. It's better to fool them or just become invisible than to reply in kind.

      When I've tried to warp a dream around me, it hasn't been with much finesse. I usually end up ripping holes in the sky and scaring and confusing all the dream characters.

      In my last Lucid I became this weird stretchy liquid blob thing.

      I don't know how I did it. I just knew that I could. And I did it without even thinking about it.

      But even weirder, there were other liquid blob DC's, and we ended up joining into one big mass. I'm planning to put that one in the gallery next month.
