What is this phenomena?
Hi!
I have been inactively interested in lucid dreaming for a long time. However I haven't come to train regularly. But I got this really odd phenomena, and I wonder if you guys know what it is.
I was lying in my bed trying to sleep. And I had almost fell asleep. I think I was half asleep. Then I got sleep paralysis, and almost panicked, but I managed to stay calm. Then my mind got in some weird state. It was like that I was in a viod. A black nothing with some colours here and there. My mind was totally clear and awake, but inside this weird thing. My body felt full of energy or something, and I felt very alive. The feeling is really hard to explain, I have never experienced something like it before, and it was really intensive. I tried to fly through the void and I could do it. I was flying really fast, and it felt full of energy, like the whole body was vibrating. All my senses was like magnified with 100 times. I though "maybe this is a lucid dream!" because I was very clear in the head. Not unclear like in normal dreams. I don't even know if this was a dream, but it was not reality. I tried to control it like you can in lucid dreams (Even though I haven't had a lucid dream before). I tried to appear in some place other than the void, but I couldn't. Then I awoke because of the sound from my friends movie. :P Then I wasn't tired anymore and could not sleep for a long time.
This was really awesome and hard to explain. I hope you have a clue about what it is. =)
Regards, Tobias.

Sounds like a lucid dream to me :) and with more progress/practice youll be able to master it.

I've had these kinds of lucid dreams before. You just lack vision. If you can trick the dream into forming something visible, you'll be in the more 'characteristic' dream that those of us who can see experience, one that is primarily visual.

Cool, thanks for the replies. I hope I get to experience this more.

I had a dream like this recently, while attempting a WILD.
My hypothesis is that you became aware of a transitory state right before full-blown dreaming. The progression goes like this: Fully awake. Sleepy. Hypnogogic Hallucinations. Sleep Paralysis. The Void. Wormhole. Full-Blown Dreaming. I think usually people are unaware of the void and wormhole because it happens so fast.
