Hi everyone! I'm Roe, I'm 23 years old...and I'm totally sleep deprived at the moment.
I CANT SLEEP! lol But I'm glad cause my boredom brought me HERE! I havn't really explored the site yet, but I'm already intrigued. I've been interested in Lucid Dreaming for a while, and have had some strange experiences myself.
I recently bought a book about Lucid Dreaming because I went over a month without remembering a single dream, and it was getting depressing. I was a VERY good lucid dreamer as a child! I really miss being able to have really long, vivid, fantasy like LUCID dreams. They were almost worth the occasional crazy night terror(don't even wanna think about those).
It seems like I don't have any NON scary dreams at all anymore, probably because I'm always stressed out and suffer from a major anxiety disorder! I don't know what's worse...not dreaming at all, or having nightmares lol I'm hoping to learn how to get back to my childhood dream states.
I also experience sleep paralysis every once and a while, with hallucinations. I swear I thought I was being pulled out of my body a few times during these episodes. I HATE when this happens to me!
Anyway, the main reason why I want to learn more about being lucid is because whenever it happens to me NOW, I freak out and wake up only seconds into the dream!!! Yes I am scared of them : ( I tend to have a lot more nightmares than good dreams, and I absolutely dread a nightmare or a nightmarish hallucination!
Since I started reading this book I had one lucid dream that lasted about 10 seconds...there was nothing scary about it *I was actually floating up towards the ceiling over our lit christmas tree!* but I still got freaked out and woke up *I think because I thought I was dead*. I had no body in the dream. I'm just frustrated! Hopefully I'll find some answers/advice from you guys because I want to turn these bad experiences into good ones!
