That sounds like the coolest dream ever... why was it scary? Were you the only one there when the stadium turned into a river? Do you remember the color of the river? |

Okay, I'm not really sure how to analyze dreams, but I tend to have dreams where I am not really myself, I'm somebody else. This dream, i'm not sure who I was supposed to be but I'm going to a big pro football game to watch my brother play. When we get to our seats, it's a big open roof stadium, at night, and none of the lights are on but I can hear a hundred thousand fans in their seats. Then I can feel the stadium melting from under me, and everybody starts screaming. Before I know it, the place has turned into a huge river (still dark) and my seat turned into an inner tube that's pinned my arms to my sides and I just know a waterfall is right ahead cause I can hear everybody going over it. Then I woke up and found that my sheets had basically wrapped me up and I couldn't move. I don't know why, but this was probably the scariest dream I've ever had. |

I think your sheets just wrapped you up because your sleep paralysis wasn't complete and you were tossing in the night. Because it wasn't complete, it didn't let go when you woke up and you couldn't move for a little while. It's not uncommon. |

I'm not sure why it was scary, but I remember being really afraid when I woke up. It occured during a week of really bizarre vivid dreams. I had quit smoking pot, and suddenly was able to recall my dreams again in the morning. I kept a journal actually, because it was all really strange. I think it scared me because it was so clear. I also had a dream once where the liquid metal terminator, the monster from the movie "THe Relic" and the creatures from Aliens were all after me, and at the end a columbian drug lord shot me a million times with a machine gun. Somehow, this was still scarier. |

yea, it seams like the content of a nightmare doesn't really correspond with how scary it feels. once I dreamed that this guy was beating me up and stabbing me and shooting me and I couldn't move but I still didn't die. Yet, I've also dreamed that I was in a kitchen and everything started turning into little nuclear explosions. the latter was somehow scarier. |
