Hello, I was just so fascinated by my first lucid dream I had that I just had to post something here.

I've been trying to LD for a few months now, and for the most part I've been successful for accurate dream recall, but I was never able to trigger a LD - for some reason induction techniques never took hold on me. Anyways, I woke up early this morning(5:00 AM), so I decided to spend some time browsing the forums here. After reading up on a couple of interesting methods I decided I might as well try a few. Half of me wanted to get back to sleep and I really didn't expect any results, so I just went and tried to go to sleep on the couch... About half way through I felt like I was failing, and because I was tired, I just thought I'd go to sleep anyways(unknown to me that I was already asleep ...I think.) After sitting a while I felt myself drawn up into sitting position without actually moving a muscle - that was when I realized I was dreaming and became Lucid. I was able to get up and stretch my arms of my on volition - and then I woke up lying on the couch again. One thing that I should probably note was that when I was moving it felt like I was moving through water - something I've seen in other dreams only when I'm about to wake up... I suppose I should have gone through the steps for prolonging the dream, but hey, this was my first.

It may not seem like much, but as my first Lucid Dream I found it rather fascinating - unlike normal dreams that come to me mostly as memories after I wake up, this one was in real time that I could actually experience. So I decided to record it here(6:30 AM)

Hopefully I'll perfect the techniques that I used to be able to LD more often
