I think I'm getting close

I've only been seriously at this for a week (although I've toyed with the idea of developing the ability to have lucid dreams for years) and I think I might be making progress towards having a lucid dream. Last night, I had three very vivid dreams in the space of two hours and I remembered them all in great detail (this dream journal thing is just amazing for recall -- I've always been pretty good at it, but wow ... just wow!). The one I found really interesting was that I was walking with someone I know from work in a park and there were all these other people and everybody was talking about LDs and learning how to do them. The woman I was with turned to me and asked me if I wanted to LD. I said yes -- I didn't slip into a lucid dream, but I feel really encouraged by that! :D:boogie:

Yes...LDing is very near. LDs happen when your dreams are vivid and another thing....some degree of latent conciousness in the dream. To dream of LDing subject means the conditions are right, all you need to do is give it a nudge to LD...like doing RCs until you fall asleep...:). My bet is that you gave Lding much thought before you slept that night am I right and because it's still quite a new idea for you to grasp.

Sounds like you were close. You just need to remember to do reality checks when someone mentions lucid dreaming. :)

Hey good on ya. I kick myself when similar situations happen to me like that. Your mind is thinking about LDing when you are dreaming so your defintely going in the right direction. Keep up the journal and if you have a spare morning sleep in as long as you can. The LD is just around the corner.
