      tingling sensation when becoming aware

I had my first lucid dream in a long long while last night. When i first became aware i was dreaming my whole body suddenly started tingling, sort of like after your foot falls asleep. Has this happened or does this happen to anyone else? Most of my dream was uneventful, i tried to fly and i just sort of floated up without stopping, got horrible butterflies in my stomach and then woke up.

This happens to me every time I lucid dream except with me it is more of a feeling of having a very strong electrical current going through my body (not unpleasant for some reason). There is a sound that comes with it also (like a low frequency sine wave), it all sticks with me throughout every Ld.

Everytime I become lucid through a DILD, I feel as if I'm heavily intoxicated. Thus, I feel disorientated, confused and my perception is blurred. However, this is a transient feeling and therefore shortly begins to fade.

Could be that your mind panicked and started to wake you up and what you felt was your real body coming out of sleep paralysis.

I agree, it sounds like it could be sleep paralysis. I get those same sensations when Im going into/out of SP.

its not anything strange, the same thing happened to me. In the begining of the experience I was fuzzy, but once everything got more clear and extremely lucid I began to feel vibrations/tingles for a little bit. It seemed normal, I was used to them from OBE's. So yeah, nothing to worry about, its normal

Sounds just like an OBE to me.

i don't think it was an OBE. I was dreaming, I know that much......Oprah was there for some reason. That was how I knew that it was a dream.

I get those sensations when becomming aware of SP and a dream forms around me, but they stop once im in the dream. Im not sure though if its just a dream body that I feel in SP and im already asleep or if Im actually experiencing a WILD.
