      Yeah!!

After my failed attempts on Friday night I had another shot at WILD last night. I was just about ready to give up at "750, I'm dreaming" when I noticed there was something in my room making a weird noise. So I got up and started turning things off in my room. Until I realized I had been turning things off that I didn't even own (like 3 TV's and stuff). Then I RCd the clock and it was all blurry.

I didn't get really excited because I tried a few things I couldn't do in waking life and nothing worked. So I went back and lay in bed.

at about "790 I'm dreaming" I found myself still lying in my bed but I tried to imagine my bed was in the middle of the street (where I live I can hear cars going past every 3 seconds so it makes it hard to LD). Sure enough, when I opened my eyes and sat up I was on the sidewalk of a street I hadn't seen before. So I spent the next few minutes exploring in amazement that my mind was able to create all this. After I while I think I lost lucidity and it turned into a normal dream.
But still, first WILD and LD x2 so

I think my next step will be trying to relax more so it doesn't take a count to 700 (BORING AS HELL!) and also to get better control over the dream.

      Wow! Nice first WILD!

I love to just explore in LDs, too. It really is amazing the detail and complexity our minds can create.

I know, the thought kept going through my head "Wow, my brain created this out of nothing..."

No luck with wilds since then though

That's quite amazing. How long have you been trying to consciously induce a lucid dream?

That sounds really vivid. Good job keeping your cool. You didn't notice any sensations as you passed into a dream? Thats good inspiration to people who say they are afraid of sleep paralysis and crazy hypnagogia.

Hopefully you can pin down what made that attempt such a success.

Yeah thanks, was reading few a few guides there. I havn't had luck lately because I havn't had the time and such.
Plus when I try to WILD I notice I wake up several times during the night which disrupts my sleep. And it's odd too because usually I NEVER wake up during the night, not even to go to the toilet

Only a couple of days amazingly enough. This was my 4th attempt at it.

It actually wasn't hugely vivid, it had a dreamy feel to it. Not really any sensations but I did on my first few attempts. I was lying there completely motionless for more than 10 minutes though. I must admit I was petrified of SP the first couple of times. I had tried twice before this the night before and both times I pulled out because of the noise in my ears, but this time, nothing.
I hope to eventually get a good technique down so I can WILD at will.
