Hi, i would say you had some sleep paralysis, which you don't have to worry about as its not dangerous and is natural. If you read on this site about WILDs. which are waking initiated lucid dreams, you will see that people try and force this sleep paralysis, so their brain stays awake and they can have a lucid dream. |
|
They tell us that slumber, the sister of death, Mortality's emblem is given; To fate how I long to resign my frail breath, If this be a foretaste of Heaven.

This is completely normal, you actually go through that on a regular basis its just that your asleep when your body goes into Sleep Paralysis, how you said that you could both see your dream and your room is probably just hypangogic imagery which is pretty much just hallucinations that you have shortly before you enter a dream but most the time you'll be asleep for them... |

LD count: 75
(17 DEILDs, 54 DILDs, 4 WILDs)
It is what every body said SP I'v had one best thing to do is not freak out. If you come down you should just be able to move again.[Though the first time it happend to me I screamed till I woke up |
|
This is quite normal. i have not experienced it myself, but i have done alot of research on this subject. your body is not sure where it is. this is normal. generally you should perform a reality check in this situation. it may be hard to do this in the state that you were in but that is why you must practice this. i would try to wbtb every night and everyting you wake up perform a check. this will make you a custom to this, and will better help you in the next sitiuation like the one you experienced. however some people like achieving this sensation as a type of High. when this happens i suggest do not fight it. enjoy it =) good luck |

Be who you are and say what you feel becuase those who mind dont matter and those who matter dont mind.

I've had that experience of seeing both my dream and my room, both simultaneously, hard to explain but i think i know what you experienced. |
|
A while back, before I used to even know about lucid dreaming. i almost fell asleep then i guess my body freaked out and I woke up and everything spun around me, i couldn't move or speak, and everything was a blur. It was kinda of scary, but when i woke up i thought it was thrilling so I wanted to try it again. |
|
I don't think it really matters, though you may have an easier time with some techniques than others. |

OMG!!! i had the same experience just a few days ago. I woke up and my stomack hurt. i could still see my dream though! i dont know why. i saw soldiers running and training and i saw a person there who i knew was me, but i couldn't make out the faces. i felt sick from all the running and tried to change my dream, but it kept going back, like it was forcing me to watch it! |
