Hi from a somewhat experienced LDer

Hi! I came to this site when someone in another forum recommended it for those of us interested in lucid dreaming.

I've been lucid dreaming since the earliest recollection of childhood, but I never had control over when it happened till recently when I tried for the first time. I've found I'm easy! ha

Last night I spent about an hour reading through various threads on here. I saw several mention of flying in dreams. You know, of all the fun and crazy stuff I've done in LDs, I've never once even THOUGHT to fly or seen anyone else do it.

So last night as I drifted off, and said to myself that I'd have lucid dreams and good recollection. When I found myself in my first one, I was walking at our old college campus. I just knew I was dreaming. My husband walked up from one of the bike paths, and I said "Oh, good, you're here! I heard you can fly in dreams, so I'm going to try it. Want to with me? He had a skeptical look on his face but said "Sure, I guess." I told him I had to practice first, so I backed up (as if I needed a running start!) and pointed my arms in front of me and thought "Fly!" and I did! I "landed", went back and grabbed his hand, and took him with me. We were both giggling and having the best time. After we landed, we decided it would be more interesting to just walk around the campus and have a look around for old times sake (we graduated 15 years ago) and the rest of the dream was uneventful, but recalled.

OK, enough talking for me. I was just excited to fly for the first time ever, at age 35!

Hmm. Almost 18 and still haven't gone peter pan style, though I haven't been trying this really. 7 days left of my childhood. Of those 7 days I'm going to neverland!!!

      Michael Jackson will be enthused.

Anyways good work with that. You are lucky to have them come so naturally.

Sounds like an awesome dream! I like how you took your husband with you. I sure hope he appreciates the things you do for him

Any more lucids lately? I'm jealous that lucidity seems to come so naturally for you.
