      dream recal improving

ive always had trouble with this, but last two nights my dream recall has been perfect. and just now, my alarm was on snooze for 5 min, id go back to sleep, dream for 5, wake up, recall, go back to sleep, dream, recall, for about an hour.

      lucids are really close!

I know exactly how you feel! It's just a matter of time, trust me.

Congrats! Keeping some kind of dream journal (DJ) can really help with achieving and maintaining recall.

That's not always the best idea, infact to put it in technical terms, it isn't good at all. First of all you woudn't be able to check the time other than the computer in the bottom corner.

And secondly, you might want to try the alarm again sometime when you're a little more experienced, like I've recently discovered how to properly WILD, so I'm keeping that alarm idea. And it's a good thing I didn't get rid of it.

Basically, it's always good to come back to it later on in life.

i think you got confused by my alarms, they were for waking my ass up to get to work, and i didnt want to get up yet so i just kept hititng the snooze and dozing off and having little dreams, anyways i dont have a dj, i really should though, im just really lazy, i do remember 4 dreams within the past 2 nights very vividly though, it can only improve with a dj i supose.

i have had a lucid before, but they are very brief.

Silly question, but will smoking pot before going to bed effect dream recall? we all know pot effects short term memory, so will it effect crucial short term memory for remembering dreams? if so i better no use pot to aid my self to falling asleep.

It will affect it. When I stopped smoking 1 year ago I started to have a greater dream recall spontaneously.

Thirdly, it's a good way to tell that you are dreaming (assuming it is a digital clock) if you have a false awakening. Digital clocks always mess up in dreams if you look at them twice.

Write in a dream journal every time you wake up, even if you're merely writing "I don't remember my dream from last night." It helps you form the habit and prompts your subconscious to remember more eventually.

      does that really help?
i should try that. i just leave it blank when i don't remember any dreams.
We are each our own personal god. Never is this more apparent than in our dreams.

It helped me. I cannot guarantee its effectiveness or lack thereof on anyone else, though.

I can promise you, if your body have gotten enough rest, it will wake up.. (You will!) ..

If not! I can promise you, that waking it up, by intent, using an alarmclock, well... I will not even tell you, figure it out...
